“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2014

Have just returned from a 10 day holiday at the Ata Lagoon. Great rooms overlooking the pool. Lovely staff. Intermittent wifi. We had a dripping air con unit. Rooms were cleaned daily by really nice ladies. All in all a lovely well priced hotel. Just a few minutes walk to the beach or the main drag with bars & restaurants. I have only one complaint, and it's not the hotel or staff but the very annoying guests who get up at 6am to put the towels on sunbeds..... Then don't use them! It would be useful if the hotel had a policy to stop this.

This was our first holiday staying at the Ata Lagoon and we thoroughly enjoyed it, we had 2 rooms and unfortunately ended up with my son and husband having a double bed in their room rather than twin beds however the lady on reception as soon as we told her managed to swap the room to a twin
We found the pool area nice and clean and we never struggled to get a sun bed as long as we didn't leave it too late, I thought this was great as it was school holidays , I have to say as well that all the moans about the pool barman I find harsh, I found him friendly and polite and he had a laugh and a joke with us I think he's very misunderstood, the young lad that works with him is also an asset to the hotel he worked tirelessly and always with a smile
we also had a nice few evenings in the restaurant where Onur, Mustapha and Yunus to name a few were always superb
Also special mention to Merve who was so sweet having photos with my daughters along with Yunus , my daughter has made some lovely friends
We have already booked for next year when we will be renewing out vows whilst in OluDeniz, cannot wait

We arrived late at night to the hotel and were taken to the new part of the building and up to the top floor. Our hotel was stunning, beautifully decorated and stunning views of the mountains. We paid for air conditioning which was amazing and really powerful.
The pool area was lovely and very clean, a perfect size and not too busy even though it was the summer holidays. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Olu Deniz is a beautiful resort with lots of fantastic restaurants and nightlife, suitable for both families and couples. Would definetly recommend it!

Room Tip: Request a room in the new part of the hotel, especially the rooms on the top floor.

This is our second trip to the Ata Lagoon the first of which was two years ago. First off, the place hasn't really changed. Rooms are basic but clean and bed linen and towels have been changed 4 times in the four days we have been here. The staff, the majority who are the same are friendly if you want to get to know them with some having a great sense of humour. The pool is excellent, but same as most places we have encountered abroad, do reserve your sun bed early!!. The breakfasts which are included in most packages are great (not fried) and a variety of breads, hams, cheeses, dried fruit, cereal, yoghurt along with jams etc set you up for the day. The snacks are good value and what we discovered this time was that the evening menu was amazing, best meal so far 4 days in, cheaper than anywhere else including a basic wine selection and 10% discount if you are resident. Situated on the main road in to olu deniz, it has easy access to the strip (large choice or restuarants) the beach and to Fetihye and Hisaranu via Dolmus(bus that stops outside if you flag them down). Talking of beaches, the main one is quite pebbly but has quite a current especially if you were to have young children (my suggestion would be to go to like Billy's Beach, (see other review) Overall, if you want a good value holiday, I highly recommend the Ata Lagoon.

Fourth time at this hotel and guess what? We'll be going back next year, so this must be a good place in my opinion. Some new staff here this year but if they turn out like the regulars, Mustafa, Onour, Tofan, Ilkan and Ilan, they'll be great. Must also mention Emine, Mustafa's wife, who will help you in any way she can. The chefs this year were great, try the Sunday roast and you won't be disappointed. All in all a great place where we usually meet many return guests.

Room Tip: Rooms by the pool are great

A good budget hotel. Our rooms were a bit tatty but we only slept in there. Lovely breakfast, very friendly helpful staff apart from poolside barman who's a grumpy git. Ideal location close to beach, Dolmus and everything else, but still quiet at night. I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Wifi very slow and sometimes non-existent.

Great holiday experience! The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. And there's something extra for Grand Budapest Hotel movie fans. Zero works there!
