We went here one evening for cocktails before going out to eat. Cocktails were gorgeous and staff were very friendly. Prices were also reasonable.

This a great little bar that has only been open a short while but has quite a busy atmosphere already. The staff will look after your every need, and will entertain you while you relax with fire shows and energetic dancing.

There is an excitement of discovering new places, and there is a joy of returning. There is a fascination with changes and progress, and there is an appreciation of things that remain unchanged.

Just a couple of months after I had discovered Oludeniz and its lovely Dream’s Café and Bar right in the main road to Hisaronu, I found myself back there again. As a matter of fact, my way to Oludeniz this time wasn’t as smooth – I was lost on the way, more metaphorically, than literally, but does it matter in the end? My Gypsy soul called me for new roads and new places, but the desire of returning to a place that I felt special about eventually won, and after finding myself at the foot of pine-covered hills of Oludeniz instead of rocky mountains of Kalkan, I gave up and sighed: “Well, it must be a spell, and who am I, a mere mortal, to fight with it?”

I was relieved to have noticed that not much has changed since my last visit in June: perhaps, the waves were bigger on some days, days hotter, and me happier – feeling that I was home after a long journey. Dream’s place was there, too – an integral part of the landscape, just like mountains in the back of the bay, or colorful paragliders cruising above the sea. And that is exactly how you should treat it – as an inseparable part of your relaxed holiday itinerary. Having all the warmth, hospitality and wit of the local people and the relaxed feel of the area, Dream’s Café and Bar is an embodiment of the very spirit of the place. It is an extremely friendly family-run restaurant, and Hakan with his very nice team does his best to give you a warm and heartfelt welcome, making you feel at home. There is a comprehensive cocktail list, a good selection of Turkish and international dishes, and reasonable prices that make you feel no guilt for your holiday feasts. At night, a party is thrown, and old and young dance to international and Turkish music (did you know that age is no obstacle for dancing on the bar?) If you are lucky, you may even have an opportunity to learn belly dance with a professional dancer from Fethiye. By the way, since recently I believe that men are more apt for belly dance, and watching them learning it is not to be missed!. Finally, you will meet lots of lovely people here (many of whom have been coming back for years): get inclined to hear someone’s story – and to share yours – and find these conversations enlightening and totally inspiring (special thanks to my late night conversations companion John)!

Being back home after a journey is always sweet and yet a little sad, but on chilly and busy afternoons, when I need inspiration, I wander around the map of the world – and my Gypsy soul is triumphant dreaming of future roads - only to search for that tiny dot on the map, on the Turkish Mediterranean that by some mysterious coincidence has become a world for me. And once again, I am puzzled, but give up eventually and sigh: “Well, it is definitely a spell, and who am I, a mere mortal, to fight with it?”

Thank you, guys, for the days for easy, simple, and happy living!
