We stopped here 15th-20th May 2012 for a short break. Rooms small but adequate, the bathroom had an enclosed shower which is great having been to many hotels with just a curtain and water tends to get all over the floor !! Cleaned daily. The hotel owners were friendly enough and the staff couldn't do enough for you especially "John" We were bed and breakfast and if you are not used to the turkish breakfast don't bother getting up for it lol ! It was basically bread, butter, jam olives and tomatoes. You can buy a full english which cost about 11 lira (about £3.00) and it was massive, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 toast, mushrooms tomatoes, 2 sausage etc, etc it was great. We had our evening meals their too as they were reasonably priced ie. 3 courses and 2 beers and it came to around £15 for the 2 of us !!! they were lovely meals too. The hotel was near to the bars, restaurants, shops etc, but not that close to hear the noise ! The pool was a good size and had a mini jacuzzi style pool but when we went the weather was a bit unpredictable so never actually went in it ! We would definately recommend this hotel to people and will probably return ourselves. Just bear in mind it is not the Ritz and you get what you pay for !!! They did let us keep our cases in reception whilst we stayed by the pool waiting for our transfer coach back to airport. If anyone is interested cigarettes are L & M red and are 55lira (£19.50)
Stayed here the last week of June and had a great time. Fantastic location, right next to bars, restaurants, dolmus and taxi's. Not many kids which suited us and a great pool area. Drinks, food reasonably priced, rooms small but very clean and lovely bathrooms.
Charlie the owner comes across as not the friendliest but is ok once you get chatting to him. Don't let the reviews about him put you off this hotel as there's more to your holiday than to make friends with the owner!
A must do is the jeep safari, great fun day out, cheap, fantastic views but be prepared to get soaked all day!
Loved Hisaronu and would recommend to all, will be visiting again very soon.
stayed a fortnight and never had a complaint.booked direct and had a great deal with charlie, the owner.he organized our private transfer, which was all included in the price.pools a good size.and the locations perfect.the rooms are basic but cleaned every day.food and drink round the pool is also well priced and food very good.would recommend to anyone looking at this resort.many thanks to charlie, adam.and daisy the dog
Just got back after a 17 night stay here. The hotel is very clean and hot water was plentiful. The towels were changed every other day and the cleaners did a great job and were always very pleasant which is more than can be said of the owner Charlie and his son. We have been going to Hisaronu for about 20 years and like others have said, prefer to go out and eat at various restaurants and bars rather than stick to the hotel. This obviously did not go down well with the management who barely spoke to us throughout our stay.....when we did engage in a conversation, there was an uncomfortable atmosphere. On the day of our departure, we asked to keep the room on for a few extra hours as we weren't been picked up until around 10pm, only to be told it would cost us £25, we would have been happy to pay around £15 but £25 was way over the top.....fortunately a friend gave us a room we could use.
In fairness to them though, when we complained about the shower not working properly, they were as good as their word and promptly had it fixed, the same applied when the curtain rail fell down. Would we stay here again? Probably because of the location, value for money and so handy for the Dolmus & Taxi's.
Stayed for 2 weeks in September and had a great time, The Tumen is family owned and Charlie the owner is a nice guy but dont forget he is the owner and runs a very tight ship, which does make a big difference to this hotel. We have stayed in hisaronu before and if the hotels are not properly ran then the hotel standards drop, the Tumen however is well ran and Charlie and Adam (his son who runs the bar) take pride in their business which is a pleasure to see. Rooms are very good and clean, Food is good and the Bar is reasonably priced. The Tumen has many returning guest each year who book direct through Charlie at a very reasonable price which includes air con, fridge and airport transfers ( Taxi back to airport was 5* luxury). We have booked our places for next year and are counting the days.
