“Seafood Lovers Ahoy!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

My Other Half loves seafood and was delighted to pick out his own fish for cooking later on. I ordered a Steak Rossini, which was so huge I could only manage about a quarter of it. That was the only downside to this restaurant. Massive Portions! The Chef and his staff prepare and cook your food in full view of the diiners, which was a delight to see. They take great pride in their service and their food. Don't be put off by the 'Skegness' sounding name of this restaurant. It's well worth a visit for a seafood lover.

“Make up your own mind”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We are discerning eaters. Cook all our own food, don't use mixes or take aways.Try anything. BUT found bread tasty husbands fish was well overdone and overpriced. We like vegetables not overcooked-these were just above raw. My lemon chicken was far too spicy-not noted on menus. BEST PART WAS THE FRESH BREAD. AGAIN WINE WAS VERY PRICY-O.K. BUT NOT SUPER TASTING- UNLIKE A PREVIOUS REVIEWER OUR BILL WAS £70

“All fresh and home made..slightly rude staff”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

One of the best dinners in town here but unfortunately we ate here on the last evening so didn’t get chance to go back. One of the 'higher' waiters (in yellow shirt) was slightly rude - looked down on the lower waiters (blue shirts) and all questions were too much for him to answer. But we went there for food and it was very nice - let’s hope next year he changes his job!

“Nice but Changed”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

This used to be our favorite, but they now do things differently such as the Chatteau Briand Steak, it is not served with the same grandeur as a couple of years ago, but the food is still high quality if a little on the pricey side.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant proudly displays its 2012 Trip Advisor rating outside next to the menu. Our experience, which consisted of mediocre food, harassed, unsmiling staff, and a failure to return the change from our bill until challenged was certainly not consistent with this rating. Very disappointing.
