The Yakamoz Hotel - www.yakamozhotel.com
is a lovely small romantic hotel and restaurant near Fethiye in Turkey.
If you are staying at the five star Sahra Su and hate the food as I did, go down the road to the Yakamoz. The staff speak English and the guests are mostly English and better still the food is excellent and to British taste.

I would love to go back and stay here. It is an ideal small hotel in a romantic, peaceful setting with stunning views away from it all.

The staff are very helpful and arranged for me to be picked up and taken free of charge to a local beauty salon.

I highly recommed the Yakamoz Hotel and Restaurant.

My husband and I just returned to Canada from a three week holiday in Turkey. Lucky us for choosing the charming Yakamoz Hotel to spend our first seven days. We truly, enjoyed every minute of our stay. The owner, Mehmet, and his wonderful staff (Julie,Sonyia, and all the boys) get a 10 out of 10 for making their guests feel special and welcome. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Although the rooms were small and very basic, they were spotless, comfortable, and functional. And the food....my hat is off to the young chef for making each meal taste as special and delicious as they looked! Everything was so artfully presented on the plates. I only wish I had asked him to demo his skill of cutting a tomato, and an orange to resemble a rose.
I challenge any traveller to find better value for your dollar in all of Turkey. It is now no mystery to me as to why guests return year after year.
Again, a big thank you to everyone. We had so much fun....making new friends, moving and grooving on the dance floor to Turkish music, relaxing around the pool sipping a rose wine spritzer and icy cold Efes. What a wonderful break from the life's hectic demands!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 20 in the Annex. Perhaps we are heavy sleepers but we didn't have the problem...

My partner and I stayed here in early September in a traditional room which, although small, was perfectly clean and had efficient air conditioning . We appreciated the extensive welcome guide which we found in our room which explained everything we needed to know about the hotel, its amenities and the local area. The Yakamoz is a small hotel but what it. lacks in size it more than makes up for in genuinely friendly service. We can certainly see why so many of the people we met come here again and again, year after year. Some people have commented on noise from the new hotel next door. Our experience was that although there was some loud music on one evening, it wasn't that loud and was certainly not audible in the main hotel where our room was. The hotel is slightly out of the way and its a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the main road where you can catch the Dolmus. In the evenings we preferred to take a taxi rather brave the unlit road (though if we had had a torch we might have walked). Despite this, we would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to those looking for a peaceful break away from the hubbub of the main resorts.

We have just returned from our second visit to Yakamoz and it is still as good as last year.
All the staff seem to try and go that little bit further to make you feel at home.
The food is still as good as last year, well it would be, it is the same chef. Same great service, well it would be, it's the same waiters. Same clean rooms, well it would be it's Sonyia looking after you.
Julie on reception, what can I say, she is happy, friendly and nothing is a problem, in fact she has sorted your problems out before you thought it was a problem.
And finely Mehmet the perfect Mine Host.
Well done Team Yakamoz.

This hotel has a touch of magic. Somehow the staff generate a lovely atmosphere and have a great sense of humour. They keep out of the way but as soon as you need anything they are there always willing to help. The setting is lovely and the mature garden and trees give plenty of shade. The room we stayed in (the only one available at the time) was quite basic but good value. The last night we stayed in one of the newly finished rooms upstairs which was palatial in comparison. If you are the sort of person who likes to use/stay in the room quite a lot you may want to opt for one of these. We were there for the first time having been recommended and other guests had been there year after year. We would certainly go back again. Thanks for a great holiday.

A lovely small hotel with excellent, friendly staff, a superb pool area, a peaceful orchard for chilling out and some of the best food we have ever had in Turkey. The walking in the nearby pine forests is fantastic. However, whilst we are loathe to give this hotel any negative reviews, we chose the hotel based on its advertisement for being tranquil and secluded. Unfortunately, the new hotel which has sprung up next door since we booked last year, means that peace and tranquility are sometimes very hard to find. Unlike the reviewer below who was unaffected by the noise from the new hotel, we were also in the annex and found the noise levels very distressing on some occasions. During the first week of our stay, the loud, thumping music went on well after midnight several times. It was impossible to sleep even with the air conditioning on to deaden the noise and ear plugs in. On some days, it was impossible to relax in the orchard in the afternoons with the thumping bass music in the background. The second week was slightly better. We realise that it is through no fault of the hotel that this situation has come about and we feel very sorry for Mehmet that his lovely hotel in paradise has been affected by this new hotel which is totally unsuitable for a beautiful mountain valley. We can only hope that sufficient pressure is brought to bear to either close it down completely or place restrictions on its noise levels. It riuned for us what would otherwise have been an idyllic holiday.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel where there is less chance of being bothered by the music from the hotel next...
