“Nice and friendly place”
Reviewed March 30, 2012

We had a nice dinner.
You should order Zahter salad, olive salad, maydonoz salad before Anadolu kebap, Tepsi kebap, Kagit kebap;)
İcli kofte is not so good.
Kunefe desert should be eaten somewhere else...

“Delicious and traditional”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

The mezes and meat were great. The service is fast, meals were delicious and price is economic. The atmosphere is not very authentic. Kunefe here is different than kunefe of Antakya, it is more likely to istanbul but still delicious.

“Leave room for Kunefe ( dessert)”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Anadolu Haysim, is one of the best choices to exprience local mezes and dishes. Been there twice and had very good impression about the quality of mezes and service however stuffed ourselves with starters and hardly enjoyed main courses. But one thing for sure; we had one of the best kunefe, a local dessert not to be missed when visiting the city .
The restaurant is located around the old city, a five minutes walk from Antakya Archeological Museum and serving both at lunch and dinner . They have a very large selection of cold and hot mezes along with meat ,chicken and seafood. Vegetarians will lost themselves among mezes. The place also serves alcohol.
Priced moderately if you visit I would recomend Zahter salad ( a local thyme salad), olive salad (salad w/walnut, green olives), humus ( chickpeas and sesame paste-a must for the region) , eggplant w/yogurt, walnut w/red pepper paste and tarator ( probably now you are finished) . If not go for hot oruk kebab (meat and gracked wheat dish excellent ), katıklı ekmek ( mini pizza's with local redpepper paste) and asur ( wheat and meat dish national specialty with local touch) for main course, all of their meat dishes were good you may try Anadolu kebabı .
Now after all this you definitely must open room for the last straw which is Kunefe , the local dessert made with daily cheese , shreded wheat, butter and syrup. It only sounds very rich but trust me it is heavenly .
The establishment has a backyard court with lots of greenery where it was crowded at both visits.
