“A little Gem in the centre of Antakya Old city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

Found this Hotel by chance as it is quite well hidden with a small discreet entrance. The staff at check in were very proficient and everything was completed in minutes.
The room was excellent and well appointed with a small balcony and even though it looked out over the street it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and sheets of a very good quality.
It has a small night club on the ground floor that seemed to be very popular. But the music was not at all intrusive.
Breakfast was Turkish buffet style with a good choice available.
I would definitely recommend this Hotel. It is close to shops and is an old style building with lots of character. It has been renovated but retains its old world charm.

Expensive for what it is. Centrally located which is it's major plus. Rooms the size of closest sand very dark. Apparently you can rectify this by asking for a room with a balcony. I wasn't aware of this.
Also a plus - the Liwan has a restaurant, which a lot of hotels in Antakya lack. They'll serve breakfast but that's it. At the liwan you can eat dinner.

As far as I know, it is the only boutique hotel in Antakya. It has a great location (in the old town). Rooms are small but very clean. Try to get a second or third floor room (there is hotel's bar at the ground floor). The building has a character. Especially the area for the restaurant is amazing. I think it is worth to stay there if you want to visit Antakya.

A characterful and historical building but very clean and comfortable. I agree that noise could be a problem but I was lucky as there were no parties, and I slept well, though a truck in the middle of the night with its crew woke me once for an hour or so. I agree that the front, street facing rooms might be preferable. I enjoyed watching the goings on in the street at night. Staff are really lovely. Serap Hanim is particularly sweet. My only bugaboo was it was a little overpriced at 130TL as the rooms are quite small (comfortable for me alone but a couple might feel squished a bit.)

Room Tip: Choose a room in front with a balcony

Stayed here for two nights. It's small but has a great position in the old city. Rooms are not bad although the tiled floor is chilly despite the slippers provided. One issue to watch is if you have a room overlooking the internal courtyard which is where the restaurant is located. Any noise echoes up through the courtyard. On the second night a few people were talking down below my room and the noise was significant even though they were talking at normal levels. Breakfast provides a lot of choice and has particular food from the region.

Room Tip: As above, perhaps go for room on street side.

With its staff's hospitality, its well decorated interior as well as its good location, I recommend this boutique hotel. Definitely I will come back when I have a chance to visit Antakya again.

Building was used as Embassy of Syria during beginning of 1900's and very good renewed as a hotel building. Very comfortable hotel at the heart of the city where you can reach to "must to see" sights by walking. Staff is very friendly too. Front view rooms with french balcony are highly recommended ...
