If you want to have a unforgettable trip, Calista Luxury Resort is the place which you are looking for.

- 4 different bar beside the pool , the beach, main building and the wharf with different kind of drinks .
- The best lunch, dinner and also different kind snack.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Calista. The rooms are great, the pools and sun beds excellent. The entertainment's staff are all friendly and are very good with children. The pool bar has two of the best bar men ever! The food is generally very good. The a la carte restaurants are worth the extra 10 euros, the Turkish and Italian being the best of them. The whole experience is not directed towards British taste as we were definitely in the minority. This meant that a few things were not quite right, such as crisps rather than tortilla chips in the south American restaurant. These things apart, we had a great time, would come back again and recommend to friends. We have put a
5 for value as we feel that the price we paid for our package from Thomson's was really good value.

Just returned after 11 nights at the Calista which proved to be relaxing, hassle free and great value for money in stylish 5 star surroundings. We took my father on his first trip to Turkey and his feedback to family is that the hotel far exceeded his expectations and he stays in many 5 start hotels across the world.

Quality is key in this property - from service, furnishings to food. The 5 star experience started on arrival and continued throughout the holiday. The design and architecture has the wow factor creating an immediate impression.

Pros:
Spacious well maintained grounds
Moderm spacious rooms with LCD TV, rainfall shower and Iron and ironing boards in rooms
Great position in building 3 linked to main building with superb view.
Many options for food and snacks throughout the day. Paletable for every taste
Premium brand drinks and good service and multiple bars to choose from
Can book a la cartes on the day and in advance with guest relations at any time. We never had to queue and did not experience any problems.
A la carte quality is consistent and high. We ate in every one apart from the Fish restaurant but only because my husband is not a fan of fish. The Turkish was fabulous. 10 euros per person but worth it as it is a welcome respite from buffet and crowds. Note that the Mexican is a set menu.
Special surprise of cake and champagne on birthday (twice) in Room and in Asian restaurant!
Room spotlessly clean and always with a genuine smile daily
Great sun loungers - padded and towelled. Plenty available on the beach and by the pools even at 10.30 in morning.
Entertainment and activities available throughout the day and evening.
More English in this hotel compared to other hotels we have stayed in in Belek, therefore staff more familiar with English phrases and able to communicate more effectively.
Constantly refurbishing and maintaining hotel to a high standard on a daily basis
Great communication pre arrival and post arrival. All requests were accommodated.

Con:
1. Not overly important however, it is worth mentioning that the TV channels are mainly the BBC news for the English. Found american sitcom and sine gold channel as alternatives. (Would be great if there was an option to tune in other channels according to nationality for broader viewing)
2. Observed non guests coming off the beach and sitting down to use facilities and eat food and drink etc. We know they were non guests because they asked the towel attendant if they could come in to look around and he waved them in. We watched this on 3 seperate occasions on 3 separate days. We would suggest that this policy is reviewed and policed as per Maxx Royale given the quality of the establishment.

We were delighted with our stay at this property. We travel to Turkey every year for the last few years and have stayed in the Kempinski Dome, Gloria Serenity, Amara Dolce Vita, Mardan Palace and Maxx Royale. We would highly recommend this hotel and will be encouraging family to visit this hotel next year. Would recommend September October to get the true experience.

Thank you to the team for making the holiday special.

Room Tip: Main building or building 2 or 3. Request pool view in advance

My wife and I arrived at the hotel just after midnight. As with other 5* luxury hotels we've stayed in we were asked to take a seat and the staff came to you to check in. We were offered Champagne and a snack. A map was supplied and the breakfast times explained. We went straight to our room as it had been a long journey.

The rooms are excellent. Very spacious with huge a huge bed. There is plenty of space for your luggage and clothes. The rooms are tastefully designed. A personal message is displayed for you on the TV when you enter. The bathrooms are excellent. Especially the shower which is plenty powerful. There is also a well stocked free mini bar.

The main restaurant is huge with foods for many tastes. If you cant find something you like then your are definitely a fussy eater. The waiter service for drinks in the restaurant is excellent.

However in the evening especially we like to relax and sit and be served our food rather than jostle around counters with many other people. We therefore took the option of the A La Carte restaurants for dinner. This is at the cost of 10 euros per person but well worth it, the food and service is excellent.

There is also a midnight snack supply in the main restaurant if for some reason you're peckish.

The pools and beach area are superb. There was a problem with people placing towels and personal belongings on sun beds making it a problem to get a bed if you turned up later in the morning. We noticed that some of the beds although having towels on were not used for the day. We complained to the staff and this was remedied and we didn't have a problem for the rest of the week.

Evening entertainment was varied and of a high quality. Drinks were branded. You can have a party evening or a quiet relaxed evening depending on the part of the hotel that you want to frequent.

Overall our stay was excellent. The only suggestion that we would make is that the main restaurant should have a time or an area that is for adults only as it was on the odd occasions like eating in a creche.

Be advised that the majority nation in the hotel seems to be Russian. I like to stay where there are other cultures however you have to be prepared for the arrogance and outright rudeness of the Russians. This is not the fault of the hotel which I can't praise enough.

Thank you Calista for an excellent week.

Reviewed September 26, 2012

This has been our first visit to Antalya, Turkey. After some extended research we have finally decided to stay at Calista Luxury Resort, as reviews have been great as well as pricing. Honestly, we did not know what to expect, as we have never experienced all-inclusive resorts and were not too familiar with this sort of scheme, even though we have traveled extensively to other parts of the world and experienced some great resorts and hotels without such option. Overall our experience has been fantastic with few bumps at the end during the check-out, where we were overcharged for a very substantial amount, but the staff was professional, admitted mistake and refunded us within one working week. A lesson well learned for us. Please double check the amount when you are charged in Turkish Liras and make sure during check-in that the rate that you booked is honored and secured by the hotel system!!

Arrival: Upon our arrival we were greeted by pretty Russian speaking lady (Dariya), she has made our check- n experience feel like VIP. As we did not have to stand in the line and wait for our turn to be services by reception. We simply were seated in the nice couches in the lobby, sipping cool sparkling wine and relaxing after the long flight. She just took our passports and came back already with keys, maps and information about the resort. Then we were escorted to our beautiful room. Cannot say the same about out departure experience, though ☺

Rooms: Our room was standard, however Calista’s standard room is very spacious. The king size bed is huge, it is probably even slightly bigger than a standard California King size bed. Linens are very soft, not stiff like in other hotels. Pillows were ok, but it really depends on individual. Design in the room is very nice and functional. Bathroom is large with nice rain-shower head. There is plenty of room to store your belongings as you are offered two closets with hangers, plus a drawer cabinet. Calista’s toiletry is good, but their soap is even better. It looks like it is has been custom made for this resort with some special ingredients in it, which makes is smell so good and organic like is SPA.

SPA: Before our arrival I have signed up for some services in Spa (Turkish Hamam and Classical Massage), followed by facial. We ended up receiving discount of 10% for the all services in the Spa, yet their services were still expensive, which probably normal for resorts of such kind. Hammam was great, Classical Massage was great. My husband loved it as well. However, the facial was up-sold to me as the facial procedure that I initially wanted was suddenly was not available as they were out of stock for the products and I ended up paying for facial 190 EUR. Ok, so I decided to treat myself for once, but I was not really amazed by the value that I got at the end. I was told that it is the amazing Valmont products that are miracle workers for the skin that I am paying for. Ok, fine. Just in the past I have received far better facials with just equivalent good products and with much more attention to my skin versus a couple tricks that you do just to up-sell. It was good treatment, I just expected more out of it for the price that I have paid. People at the SPA were very nice and very attentive.

Food: The selection of food at the main restaurant Bellum was simply amazing. We have also tried A’la Cart restaurant Sakura, and the food quality was not as nearly as good as in Bellum, however you were serviced by very professional staff and away from all the noise. Probably we just ordered the wrong items, I couldn’t help but think that I am eating recycled food from the previous night. ☺ We have also tried the Garden Café, which is very nice and serving size is just perfect, as you end up overeating when such great selection of choices is given. Our 3 year old son liked the noodles at the Sakura, but he also liked the great healthy choices at Bellum. Regarding the drinks, I would recommend stick to just plain spirits, as their cocktails tasted a little diluted, but you can always make a deal with a bar tender for a good tip.

Kids Club: One of the reasons we choose Calista was the program that they offered for the little kids. Upon our arrival, we found out that our son is not old enough to participate in the programs without our presence. I got mixed feelings regarding the ambiance in the Kid’s Club, as the first thing I noticed when I came in is the smell in the facility. It smelled like in the Zoo shops, where they sell food for animals. My husband has also noticed the funny smell in the building. Playing rooms were large, as probably they get a lot of kids during the peak season, but the pool with the balls in one of the playing rooms was so run down and worn out, that I urge management of the kid’s club to urgently replace it. Probably next year our son will take more advantage of the services that are offered at the kid’s club.

Entertainment: Calista has great nightly entertainment programs as well as for kids and parents. Every night they were running some great disco nights or performances at the amphitheater. Plus their entertainment team was great.

To note: Great resort location, close to the airport fantastic beach but sand is not powdery white as you get it at Maldives or Phuket. Most of the staff in Calista speak Russian, as they get a big flow of Russian tourists. Service is great. This is a fantastic family resort, not only for parents with kids but also for grandparents or just young couples. Will we come back? Most certainly, as we are already planning our next trip to Calista Luxury Resort next September, despite the few bumps we had during the check out.

Room Tip: Advise to try to get a room in the 7th building

My Husband and I have just returned from this gorgeous resort after a 2 week stay from August 24th - 7th Sept 2012. We have previously stayed at the luxurious resort of the Rixos in Bodrum, so any other Hotel would have lot to live up to, which the Calista did. There were not many English people there, but there were many Turkish (which is a good sign), Russians & Dutch. We could not fault the food, there was everything you could wish for and more. You would not ever go hungry or thirsty at this resort, they even put on food from 11pm in the main restaruant, so if you arrive late as we di, it was good to have the option of a late hot or cold meal. The drinks were branded and some very good brands, the bar staff very friendly, polite and professional. The bar at the end of the Pier was gorgeous and we used to laze in the comfortable armchairs and watch the sunset over the mountains each evening and watch the fish swiming by the pier in the clear water. I saw a Turtle one evening but he was obviously camera shy because I never saw him again after purposely having my camera ready each evening. This is the first hotel that we have never had a problem with finding a free sunbed on the beach and the Hotel was full. The entetainment was good, acrobatic acts etc but if it wasn't our cup of tea, we used to walk out to the pier bar and enjoy the ambiance it always had. My husband told the reception it was our Wedding Anniversary whilst we were there and the Hotel left us the most beautful heart shaped gateau cake and a bottle of Champaigne in our room. The rooms were large and tastefully furnished. We had the Turkish bath at the start of our holday which was very good. I would strongly recommend this Hotel and would most definitely go back there again.
