“Perfect When You Demand It And Find The Right People”
Reviewed July 25, 2011

This is a luxury hotel that gives a luxury time, but you must make them work before you get it.

We where two girls looking to relax and not to be disturbed. Young party people this is a place good for families, romantics and the elderly, not you. Upon arriving, I went straight to the Hammam, a must before starting serious tanning. The procedure was weakly done to start, but when I insisted on working harder then she did a good job.

They did manage to check us in quite early (around 10am). Unfortunately, we did not get the room we booked to start with. They promised to move us after two days which they did and then I got the fantastic Laguna room 1010, block A (more quiet than other block B). Just know that the hotel does not provide irons in the rooms and the laundry is only possible one day in advance.

About food and the A-La-Carte Restaurants. All food is fresh and good. You are supposed to book the restaurant one day before, but then they always say that it is full. We made a bit of a Stir that allowed us to speak directly to the Front Office Manager that seemed able to solve this for us. We tried all the restaurants, the best were French and Asian. French was really number 1, good service and excellent food. For Lunch the best is the outside Italian restaurant.

Good advice is to get up early and secure the best places at the Pier. I had no problems at 8 am, I'm an early bird, what can I say. Their pool is amazing and filled with clear sea water. Read the trip advisor comments and you'll see.

Before, I stayed here in September and this time in July. July is toooo HOT. You cannot be outside from 12 to 16:00. The humidity is very high at this time, so all clothes are permanently wet. The sun factor must be minimum 30+.

A big thanks to Mustafa (Food & Beverage Service Manager), he treated us like royalty and constantly looked if we where fine.

It is worth taking some professional pictures, even if they are expensive. We used Omi, the charismatic and bold one. :))

The hotel WiFi is no good and slow to the point of full stop, so ask for the cable version in the room.

Security is not the best, somebody from the reception gave our room number over the phone and without asking us first.

Would I go back to this hotel again? Yes, it is not far from home and the property/territory is Wonderful!!! If you want a no-thinking, sunny hotel then this is the best place.

Just returned from a nice holiday with family.
Rooms are large and nicely decored. Spotless and a jaccusi in the bathroom. But the beds are as hard as rocks! I found it really uncomfortable and slept on the sofa instead...
The hotel has two giant pools! I have never seen anything like that. The first one runs around the main building, about 200 m! It is filled with sea water. The second one is placed between the bungalows and is almost circular. You can swim around and around without a stop if you want! In the middle of the pool, there is small islands with wooden terraces with sun loungers and umbrellas. Everyday we had our own terraces, wich is separated with bushes and trees. It offered a great privacy! And the garden is so well kept with lots of beautiful flowers! At the neighbourgh hotel (Gloria Golf Resort) you will find an aqua park with lots of slides, free of use.
The food is great, especially the buffet. We tried the asian and the aegean a la carte restaurants, and we found the asian the best. The buffet has a new theme every night, like turkish, italian. We only stayed half board and found the prices at lunch restaurants, ice creams, drinks and so on very pricey, especially compared to turkish standards. E.g 3,5 € for a standard cornet, or 9,5 € for a pina colada.
The service is great, helpful and friendly. You can ask for everything, and the will help you with a smile on the face.
The only down side is the location. I prefer walking in the town in the night, but the hotel is placed 5 km from Belek, so you have to hire a cap, which costs about 25 € turn/return. So you don't do that every night. So you will probably spend most of the time at the hotel. But every night there is proffessional entertainment and some evenings a beach party at the pier. I think it would be quite noisy and annoy rooms facing the pool. Our room was facing the garden, and we just heard a litle bit.
To sum up: The hotel would be perfect for me with a softer bed and a location near the town

just returned from a wonderful hotel where they attend to all ages and groups of people .Can highly recommend it . keep clear of the highly priced photographers who are on site and try to over charge when converting the money - best to take a good quality camera .beach is a little stoney but dont be put off however I would definitely return and I never go back to the same place twice! .Food is 5star so is the spa ,gym and pool areas .Rooms are clean and very comfortable .Best to get a taxi to and from the airport otherwise you sit around a longtime waiting .The free wi fi is fantastic across the whole hotel you dont need to pay for the extra for fast access

Stayed last week of June 11 for hubbys 40th birthday. we booked a laguna room as a special treat. We were whisked away from the airport by private car,met by the lovely Eliff from concierge who took us to sit in reception with a welcome cocktail as our suitcases were taken to the room. After giving us some hotel info,Eliff informed us that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a Serenity Suite. WOW doesn't even come close..a lounge area, separate bedroom,HUGE end balcony with 2 sunloungers & gorgeous jacuzzi. Absolutely beautiful..they had also arranged flowers, fruit, wine & a birthday cake. She arranged for the jacuzzi to be filled immediately & left us to relax. We ordered room service(free between 11pm & 7am),cracked open the wine & jumped in the jacuzzi..what a way to start our holiday!!
Yes the hotel was mainly Russian or Chinese people & yes they did have children but we didn't find this a problem...could be because we spent most of our time on our balcony & ate in the superb al la carte restaurants when possible, but I also think the hotel is so well designed that it never feels too busy. You could wander down anytime of day to get a sunbed & service at all bars & restaurants was excellent. The staff may not speak as good English as other places we have been but we didn't experience any problems & found them extremly efficient & polite.
The drinks were the best we have ever had in a hotel & you could order a bottle of wine & take it to your room, although the 2 mini bars we had were refilled with premium drinks & snacks daily. Food was superb,in particular the French al la carte where we sat overlookin the river. Cake & coffee in the afternoon was lovely.
The beach was also very good, especially the pier with sunbeds & bar. We didn't use the spa as we thought it was overpriced..approx 80euros for basic massage, but the spa area was very nice. We didn't take part in any daytime activities, but evening entertainment was good, especially the 4 seasons party on the pier-not to be missed!
Cleanliness was 1st class & we appreciated the late turn down service after our evening shower. Room service was always efficient & food was very good.
We had an amazing holiday & are already planning to return,my only disappointment was that we could not have a late checkout. We were leaving at 7pm & had to check out at 12pm so it seemed a long time but we were allowed to use the spa to shower & change & the AI continues until you leave.
All in all I would highly recommend Gloria Serenity for a relaxing luxury holiday.

Room Tip: book a laguna room or suite!

Just returned from Gloria Serenity hotel fabulous great room, lovely bathroom with whirlpool bath and seperate shower and toilet, lovely toiletries including toothbrush and colgate toothpaste, razor and shaving foam kit all replenished frequently.Mini bar restocked daily with various soft drinks, mini vodka, gin & raki, water, toblerone bars, haribo sweets, doritos, pretzils lollypops and box of chewing gum all at no charge if on AI.

Numerous places to eat all serving excellent food, fabulous cake shop with delicious cakes.
Lovely sunbathing terraces surrounding 2 great pools, entertainment fantastic best we have ever seen all by professional acts.

Footbride over river where you could watch Turtles swimming, gardens with red squirells who would feed from your hand.

Great waterpark at Gloria Golf.

Spa and gym also very good. robes, slippers and toiletries in every locker.Beach towels provided as many as you like just help yourself whenever you needed a clean one.

We celebrated our anniverrsary whilst we were there and arrived back to our room in the afternoon to find a beautiful basket of flowers, bottle of sparkling wine on ice, huge platter of fruit and a heart shaped cake plus a handwritten card with good wishes from guest relations.

I could go on.

Now the down side if you are going expecting peace and quiet forget it.You will be surrounded by hundreds of Russian and Chineese children crying, screaming running around,if you did escape for a little whlie during the day mealtimes where bedlam you would not believe during mealtimes there were children riding around on scooters in the buffett restaurant, with waiting staff having to avoid them.
In the evenings they seemed to take over most older kids having there own room cards and getting together with friends for a night out without there parents.

This was such a shame as i really did not expect to see so many children and would never return in the summer months,i did mention to reception staff when we checked out although he did apologise he said it is like this throughout June,July,August and September.

We visited the resort 2,5 years ago for a couples holiday and now returned as a small family (2 adults, one toddler) with our in-laws. The hotel definetly does it both ways! You can have a romantic holiday, a family vacation or an active sports holiday.
It is a very well maintained resort with beautiful and well kept grounds. The public spaces are very clean and tidy and there is so much space that even during high season when the hotel is fully booked you can hardly feel it. The only time might be at peak times at breakfast/dinner but even then it shouldn't bother you at all.
The food at the main Restaurant is amazing, this time we only went to the Chinese à la Carte and the food there was good too.
We were a bit worried that the rooms might not be up to standard anymore after 2,5 years with plenty of tourists coming and going but we were wrong. They weren't run down at all.
Looking at the service we have to say though, that the staff at the main Restaurant is terrible. They are all nice and friendly, but incapable of replying to requests, unless you ask for something at least 10 times to 10 different waiters... However, as you are on a holiday you learn to take it as it is and relax about it.
We had many treatments at the Spa and would like to mention that there is one therapist in particular, her name is Feryaz, who is amazing. Whichever treatment we booked, she was more than capable of doing it. We go to Wellness and Spa Hotels regularly so we can definetly judge the quality of a good massage. I think our party booked at least 16 treatments with her as well as some with others, but with her it is definetly worth spending the large amount of money they charge you (on the pricier end...).
At arrival we encountered y few problems with our room, but this was sorted out very professionally by Dilara from the Reception. She took care of our complaints and found more than adequate solutions immediately. We were even upgraded to a higher category room.
However, and this was a downside to our holiday, the lady who was in charge of cleaning our room didn't do so very well. The room was only cleaned superficially and when looking behind curtains or opening drawers there were big layers of dust. Having talked to the rest of our party though, they were all happy with the cleaning of their rooms, so I guess we were unlucky with the person doing our room - nevertheless, theses things shouldn't happen in a five star hotel.
Overall though, we had a wonderful holiday and are already planing to come back either this year or latest next year!
