This is our third visit to the Belvil and the forth is being planned.
We visit and will continue to visit to this hotel because it’s centred largely on families and children of all ages, although there were plenty of couples. This suits us as we have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. The animation team work tirelessly to make your time at the hotel fabulous!! They have many facilities for children including “Papy Land” this is an area which is enclosed within the hotel grounds and has a park, football pitch, kids cinema, arts and craft areas, swimming pool with climbing frame and soft play room. Papy Land has soft flooring and cover from the sun and at night the area is transformed into either small children’s shows like Madascar or they set up loads of inflatable’s for instance climbing walls, bouncy castles, football shooting gallery, mechanical bull and kids mechanical sheep. The Disney show is a must for all ages, your kids will be able to have pictures with their favourite super hero or Disney character, this was our family’s highlight of the holiday and they gave balloons to all the kids and everyone including the adults were having fun.
The hotel also caters for adults in the daytime by having foam parties and pool games you can also try your hand at a cook off. The parents painting is brilliant, the kids get a load of poster paint and cover you in it I promise it’s better than it sounds. You can play other games including shooting, archery, darts, and javelin. If you win you’re given a medal and certificate at the evening show. The pools are clean and the whole area is cleaned every morning and night.
Food throughout the hotel is excellent and the choice is phenomenal! i would explain the food but its too vast, there is everything you can imagine!! There are many places to eat for instance by the sea, by the pool but it is difficult to single out one eating location as they are all good! We had our breakfast and tea in the main hall and dinner outside the pizza hut on the benches and we had tea wherever we felt like.
The shows at night were our favourite; they were delivered in a professional manner and were so good, even my 3 year old sat through the whole production. The serious shows included The Lion King, Notre Dame, Mama Mia. They also had slap stick shows done entirely by the animation team which the kids loved. On several occasions the main show at night ran in tandem with the kid’s night shows in “Papy land” on all occasions we walked over to “Papy Land” and had a brilliant time.
We stayed in one of the bungalows, which are cheaper staying in the main hotel. The rooms were really clean and were sufficient, we did have access to one of the main hotel rooms on the last day, myself and my wife both agreed that this room would probably have been better for us as my youngest plays on the floor and there was more space in this room. On our forth stay we are going to book the main hotel.
After the nightly shows, they had karaoke, dancing, live bands for approximately one hour and then over to the night club which is pretty much on the beach. The club was quiet but I was too tired by that point because of the day’s activities. On one of your nights there may be a beach party! Make the effort to attend this as its absolutely brilliant, lasers, fireworks and music with plenty of dancing and food & drink. The ”MC” (Gurkan) had everyone up dancing away.
If you’re into your football, the kids can do this nearly all day within “Papy Land” watched over by animation staff. The adult’s football is a 5pm everyday on the hotels training pitch a little walk from the reception. There is also a nature walk in this area with peacocks and hens.
Outside the hotels: There are Bazaars (Markets) which are very good and in walking distance from the hotel the larger ones are a taxi/bus trip away but also very good. I wouldn’t but small toys for young children as a car we bought our 3 year old a car and it fell to pieces. The clothes were all good though. For the love of God, haggle with everyone you aim to purchase off, they are not offended!!
The nightly shows are detailed on the boards outside the main food hall, if you want to know what’s happening in “Papy Land” ask for Memo (He runs Papy Land and he brilliant with the kids)
