Everything was perfect except the weather in late October! It's rare that it rains in late October but it did rain evryday of our stay. The hotel is perfect: rooms comfortable, everyone very polite, gentil and friendly, kids (we have two kids 7 yrs old and 4yrs old) more than happy, food great variety, fresh and delicious! Beach very very clean and blue flag, even fun under the rain...
Perfect holiday we enjoyed every second of it. Night shows were five star, kids club entertain and satisfy your kids all day... If we would go Antalya region again, we would choose Papillon Ayscha!

Room Tip: We had a family room which was the best we ever had in Europe!

It's been two months but I still feel I need to get this off my chest. We booked this holiday in June when the hotel was rated #5 in Belek and was getting tons of rave reviews on TA. We didn't want anything overly luxurious and Papillon A seemed to be the perfect fit for us. We are not picky people, not about decor nor food and we were completely set on enjoying every second if this holiday as it was our first one in several years.
We were traveling with 3 young children so a lot of thought went into everything.

We opted for the select Villa as it had separate rooms for the kids and a few amenities that made life with 3 young ones more convenient.
Well, yes, the wall paper was peeling, there were some holes in the closets some loose stuff in the bathroom but we decided it was not worth sweating over. However, the smell was a whole different story. It smelled musty all the time. We thought having the AC on would help but it wasn't the case. It was also quite humid as we had the room in an area that got no sun. We were constantly drying our towels and bathing suits on the lounge chairs in the sunny areas around the pool as leaving them on our terrace got us nowhere.

In terms of food and service, not impressed with either. I agree that the staff looked frustrated and miserable for the most part, the children's buffet was terrible (sausages and mashed potatoes or fries, every single day!!) the other stuff varied but nothing I would consider feeding the children I.e minced beef, plain pasta etc. Fortunately our children eat most anything so we were fine with what was served at the main buffet though definitely too much stew. It was also very inconvenient to have the grill outside, we missed out on most of it as 1. We didn't know it was there, then 2, it was taking way too long to leave the kids inside and wait around the grill lineup.

But the service, now this was the real downer. We would ask for water, they would fill one glass, despite the fact that we were 5 at the table. They rarely came to pick up dirty plates, for the most part we were piling them up ourselves on the side of the table. On many occasions we had to go off looking for water bottles and refilling our glasses ourselves. Indeed their English is very poor so DH and I had an inside joke about trying to anticipate ahead of time what our order will get transformed into. Once I asked if the smoothie was watermelon or strawberry, they proceeded to pour me a glass of lemon smoothie and strawberry smoothie. These things were happening all the time, we had a good laugh out of it but realistically, we didn't pay thousands of euros for the laughs.

Kids play area: ghetto. Small, worn out. Our kids aren't picky either but again, for the money you pay I consider it was insufficient.

The beach. The greatest disappointment of all. And I have to say I hold this one against TA posters. Now I don't know about the rest of the world, but we go to the beach FOR the beach. Not for the pool, not for the bars, not for the luxurious rooms. I haven't read a single review that stated that the water was murky, that you can't see past your waste in it. On one particular day there was a black oily substance floating that was so disgusting we didn't stay in the water at all. The sand has portions full of pebbles as well as does the sea ground. I had my sea shoes on at all times.
Cornelia Deluxe' beach was even worse as the sand portion was much more narrow. Again, why spend this much money for such an ugly beach? Again, no one mentions the beach in their review and I, personally, didn't even imagine that the Mediterranean was so yucky.

The fact that every single one of us got sick by the time we got home (it started on day 3 of the trip) and the fact that we ended up at the emergency of course, added to the disappointment but we're not holding that against the hotel. Guest services was really helpful in trying to help us out and we were impressed with that, weather was nice, hotel was clean and very attractive. Otherwise, the good stuff has all been mentioned. I wrote about the things I wish I had known but no one mentioned,

Needless to say, we won't be vacationing in Turkey again.

Room Tip: Select villas are great, quiet, own pool, own restaurant just make sure you have sun!

Holidayed at the Papillon Ayscha in June 2012 with extended family including grandchildren. It was fantastic, the rooms were good, plenty of lifts to all floors. The entertainment was the best we have had in any hotel, the outdoor musicals and circus shows were great. The gala night was a spectacle to be seen, the children were amazed by it all. The pools were huge and lovely and warm. Food, well where do I start everything from entrecote steak, grilled tuna, full lamb roasted on a spit plus anything else you can think of. Lots of fresh salad, fresh fruit and desserts.
Mexican restaurant great, Italian not as good though. Staff pleaseant and helpful, spotlessly clean throughout. Would go again anytime. Brilliant holiday had by all..

Room Tip: We had side view so could not see sea or pool but it was sunny and quiet.

We have just returned from this hotel, and were very disappointed with the room, staff and food. We booked a room with a mountain view, and the only possible way to see a mountain was to lean right over the balcony and look right and on a clear day you could see a mountain. Our view was actually the service area of the hotel next door, which was in use 24 hours a day. As the air conditioning was useless I would of liked to sleep with my balcony door open but this was impossible due to the constant noise from the next door hotel! We have been to Turkey before on an all-inclusive basis and have found the food to be very good, but the food in this hotel was often cold and the choices were the same every day and my two grandchildren aged 8 and 13 found it very difficult to find anything in the restaurant to eat, so they ate from the snack bars which were open during the day. None of the actual hotel staff including the management seemed to speak or understand English, they were very geared towards German and Russian and did not appear to be very happy in their work as they seemed very miserable, except for the entertainment team who do a very good job. There were not many English people there but the ones we did speak to all complained about the food. The actual complex was good, kept very clean all day and the pools and slides were great. The actual room was actually very nice except for the view. We would not return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room with a mountain view.
