Went in golfing trip with husband, Very disappointed with hotel. Golf in Turkey exceptional and could not fault it, location of this hotel to courses excellent and shuttle service very easy and convenient too. Sadly that’s where the recommendation for hotel ends.
The hotel is not anywhere 5*, full of Eastern European Families - mostly young families with biggies and screaming children everywhere until late at night. They had segregated a section for couples in the main restaurant, assume someone has had problems in the past, good idea, but sadly not adhered to so waste of time! Children allowed to run about eating and screaming as they went throwing food etc.
We had a sea view room in the main building which was pleasant, but meant that we were subject to dreadful 'entertainment' full volume until midnight. Music was played all day everyday around the pool area and because of the shape of the hotel itself then carried up to the balcony, which if you could stand to sit on very basic plastic chairs in the afternoon, meant that you were subjected to more noise.
We played golf every morning, so left room around 7.30 most days, returning 3ish in the afternoon to find that it had not been cleaned / serviced...despite our best efforts we could not get anyone to appreciate that it would have been good to have returned to made up beds fresh towels etc, not to mention that we would have preferred to rest and not be disturbed when the maid did arrive...
Service overall v poor, no one interested in helping from reception to a la carte booking desk, to restaurant staff...getting a clean table laid for lunch in the restaurant not easy; another drink? ...Only if you can catch their eye and that’s not easy either! Public toilets awful, faeces smeared on toilet door and not cleaned paper towels bins not emptied etc.
They may have upgraded rooms recently, but they have not done bathrooms, note that there are no photos of these on the main website...the final straw was when the whole the shower door collapsed when my husband opened it, I was in the bathroom at the time and the door fell with great force onto my back and over my head, shattering glass EVERYWHERE simply a miracle it did not kill me...ok accidents happen, but had it been correctly maintained this could have been avoided, to add insult to injury, it took 30 mins to convince anyone that we had a problem and we needed help, the Operations Manager eventually arrived - it took some persuading and some time. We requested a copy of the incident report and were advised no one working in evenings to do this - appreciate admin staff may work office hours, but I would have expected them to be making some sort of report regardless of office hours...they have committed sending us a copy...lets wait and see...I am not hopeful!
A la Carte restaurants were excellent, staff here much better, but only one open per night and not every night of the week, getting booked to fit with desk opening hours a challenge if you want to go off golfing…but worth persisting with.
Will return to Turkey to golf, but not this hotel.
