First impressions are a top class resort but it doesn't deliver. Fixtures and fittings are good quality but they are cutting corners on the important things. Food in all the restaurants is average and service in the bespoke ones is appallingly slow. The French, Italian and Turkish restaurants share the same kitchen and presumably chefs and the food is neutral and bland as a result. The food in the Buffet restaurant was pretty poor except for Italian night which unfortunately was 30 mins before we departed. I also appeared to develop a bad case of Mr Invisible Man in some of the bars and got fairly annoyed at having to ask loudly to be served, I think they preferred to take your order at a table but they didn't have the staffing levels for this.

The rooms were well upholstered and equipped but the A/C was turned off centrally so all it did in the room was move the air around and maintain the 26ºC temperature all night. There is also a lot of walking to do in this hotel it took me 7 minutes to walk back to the room from the 24/7 bar and it was even further to the buffet restaurant. There are also very few public area toilets around the hotel and it can be a long walk from the bar or restaurant if you need a comfort break. Not one I would rush back to.

First impressions of this hotel are outstanding and its situation is stunning. However scratch below the service and the cracks to appear.

There are 6 a la carte restaurants that you have to book to get into - this involves a queue along with everyone else at 8am in the morning. Additionally as you can book 2 days in advance it means for your first 2 days you have to eat in the buffet as the restaurants are full. That said the buffet restaurant is probably the best of the restaurants - the Italian, French and Turkish restaurants are nothing to write home about and service was shockingly slow. One meal of ours too 3.5 hours! I found the Mexican the best but as it is open air it got very cold - again service here was very slow, although the servers were very friendly. Also beware if you are expecting french wine in the french restaurant, italian wine in the Italian and so on - you can only get Turkish wine across the resort, and this was very average indeed. That said the bars are well stocked with spirits and the beers and cocktails will flow all night if you want them!

The rooms were lovely but again let down by the air conditioning which did not seem to work that well. We were a group of 14 and it was the same across all 7 rooms.

The staff across the resort were lovely and command of English was generally OK.

Overall I would say put this hotel on your consideration list but be aware of its limitations - I personally would not go back there.

After 7 days there, we were ready to stay there forever . Everything was just perfect. Good rooms, food, restaurants, big area, pool. The biggest problem is to find money for such vocations.
The city is quite far away, so you would have to take taxi (usd5).

Top class - all inclusive at its best .
Our room was 1245 - in main hotel - our room large, sunny balcony after 1300hrs, only complaint would have been air conditioning a little noisy so pack ear plugs.
The temperature was 23 - 32 in October and every day was blue skies and sunny - only tip would be to take a long sleeve cardigan or jumper for the evening as after the sun goes down it can be a little chilly - we ate out on the terrace every evening in the buffet restaurant as we could not book in for any of the all inclusive restaurants - you need to book these 2 days in advance but they always seemed to be full - apparently the returning guests get priority so no chance for any new holiday makers to get a look in but that was fine for us as the food in the buffet restaurant seemed to give you plenty of choice - I am a vegetarian and I ate well - plenty of cheese, pasta, vegetables and huge amounts of salads - deserts are good to but we only took a little of everything so we could try lots - the italian cafe does good cakes and coffee so definitely pop in there - we used the spa alot - very pricey but we got a good discount as we booked alot of treatments so if you are planning to visit the spa a lot book in advance - we aimed for 4pm time as this worked well with sunbathing and getting ready for dinner -
drinks are all good too - cocktails yummy so make sure you try a few
we visited the dolphin show - really good
there is a tractor that goes into the town it costs 1 euro and leaves just outside the hotel entrance every half hour - we visited the market on a Saturday and did all out haggling - top tip would be not to buy anything from the shops do all your shopping at the market - turkish delight was 20 euro in the shop same box in the market 4 euro - haggle lots and expect to pay at least half of the price they first offer you - do not back down you will win!!!!
really good fun - we got lots of fake hollisters , abercrombie, north face stuff - but loads of glasses bags, hoodies etc - we were not hassled and felt very safe
the hotel staff were all friendly and the evening entertainment was excellent - 4 shows were cancelled during our stay but there should be a show each evening - very good quality performances
not a lot of english people staying which for us was lovely not listening to english talking all the time - most staff spoke english - we never had a problem communicating
sunbathing and pool bar great - drinks delivered to your sunbed!
hotel so clean - you could eat off any floor - never saw things dropped on the floor - always saw cleaners sweeping discreetly - polished gem this hotel - there are cats in the outside areas but again they seemed clean - cats are welcomed in the eating areas by guests and the kittens were often seen on laps including mine - very sweet - 3 kittens and 2 cats on terrace restaurant area - the children loved them very friendly
really good hotel - liked our holiday alot very relaxing

Spent 5 nights there on a golf holiday. The facilities at the hotel are excellent and varied. Great place to relax and have fun. Many of the guests were friendly making for an enjoyable stay. Try to get into the a-la-carte restaurants.

We went to Rixos in October 2013 with my two daughters (12 and 9) and my wife.
The place is rather large and of good quality. We had some challenges in being able to take advantage of the various restaurants (ensure you book early enough with someone of their stuff), but the buffet restaurant and bars are quite good.
The stuff is corteous, the beach very clean and so the sea. This is a good place for family holidays and the children can enjoy it too.

Fantastic hotel really enjoyed our stay, room fabulous, facilities out standing, variety of drinks both local & branded outstanding, food on offer was a very high standard.
Downside - main restaurant order your drinks before you get your food also advertise a la carte's but very difficult to get a reservation for the free ones - however the ones you pay for you can get a table no problem - so reserve the day you get there was told returning guests get priority which if true is out of order - however overall a fantastic holiday my expectations are high been to Rixos hotels several times & I would go again
