“Another great Holiday with one problem.”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

Myself and my wife stayed at Zeynep last September but this time we took our 4 year old daughter.
We stayed between 30th June and 7th July.
Check in was simple and usual and was given room number 2352 in the bungalows right above last years room so that didnt bother us it had a double a single and a cot (we didnt ask for a cot our daughter is 4) I asked the bellboy to remove it as we didnt need it (it still in the room when we left) the safe is still free and thats a nice touch the soap and shower gel dispensers where empty which kind of started the big difference from last year which was the poor maid service in our block. The balcony overlooked next doors hotel and you had views of the sea and the Olympic pool and the kids pool.
During our stay the only other thing that had changed was the animation team but they still worked hard but because we stayed by the kids pool we didnt really see them much only at night time for the mini disco and shows.
The food was the same old same old turkish hotel food slightly aimed at the russian market but that wasnt a problem some of the cakes we tried where really yummy but not good for waist line haha.
Bar service was good but can be a bit chaotic if you get the wrong bar staff of certain people queue jumping.
One of the best bar staff we met was Rustu in the snack bar by the kids pool he always kept a good bar that worked if anyone jumped the queue he would ignore them and he always remembered your drink order "2 beer and a sprite) always had a smile even though it was hot 100f.
The shows where ok better than most hotels weve been too. Our favorites had to be the acrobats and the dance show on the sunday my daughter loved the mini disco every night at 8.30pm. Slight criticism would have to be the small bald headed member of the animation team wouldnt always speak in english when explaining to the kids he would speak russian, german and turkish but sometimes miss out english but the english kids soon picked up on what he wanted haha.
Some people might be put off by the lack of english people at the hotel we seen quite a few but that wasnt a problem for us we met a few english speaking families from various countries and we met a lovely family from Sweden and our daughter made friends with there daughter even though they didnt speak each others language our daughter also made friends with a family from Wigan England and lucky enough they where on our flight home.
As I said at the start of the review the only problem we had was the house keeping.
It was a big minus from last year to say the least.
The rooms really didnt get cleaned the floors, the soap and shower gel dispensers never got filled rubbish left in the room to a point we moved them, the balcony never really got brushed as I killed a few moths on the first night and they where still on the floor come the 4th night.
It came to a head when one day I went back to the room and found a note under the door from house keeping saying the maid hadnt cleaned our because the door was locked or we had a do not disturb sign up. My wife went to complain and returned with head of housekeeping and she said maybe the door was locked from the inside and showed us but I wanted to know how did the mini bar man get in to restock our fridge? no answer from housekeeping. You would see the maids chatting away outside the rooms every morning and it does make you wonder if she didnt have time to clean our room because she ran out of time . It was such a pity because everyone else works really hard to make the hotel tick.
Weve been here twice now and it will probably be the last time we visit Zeynep, we will try a different hotel or resort next holiday.
PS Second we went to Gala night and its just kaos would rather go out and get some food in Belek.and come back for the fireworks but thats just our view.

Room Tip: Bungalows have more room but the Golf resort side has nicer rooms with carpet

We stayed as a couple for å week early in july and had a wonderful time. Nice and clean everywhere. Smiling staff, tasty food. Plenty og sunbeds and several nice poolareas. Lovely beach. Quiet and relaxing at night. We warmly recommand the Sultan`s Wellness and Spa- Chris and her staff offers very good massage/ treatments- excellent value for money!

My husband and I Stayed her in June for a 7 night stay really enjoyed it very good welcome on arrival with speedy check in
Don't know what rooms other guest stayed in but are was a side sea view overlooking the slide pool although there was only two of us are room had a very big bed in plus a single and there was still plenty of room
The food in the buffet was ok.we used all of the al la carts except the Mediterranean and found them all to be very good the French resturant was exceptional.we did not mind paying the 5euro per person cover charge as we found it was still very good value although the Thomas Cook brochure does not state that all of the al la carts carry a cover charge.
All the staff we very friendly and although we did not get involved with the animation the whole team were very friendly wether you took part or not
We also used the golf hotel but found this to be a little to quiet for us the resort hotel had much more atmosphere
I would recommend this hotel and would return
Sarah the Thomas Cook rep was very good con dieting it was her first week she was always on hand and available

Room Tip: Sea view rooms were a good size

Just returned from a week with family of 4, 2 adults, 16 year old daughter & 8 year old son. After reading a few of the reviews on here we were concerned about the food on offer, not sure where the people ate or have eaten before but we found the food very good. Yes, the main food restaurant was busy, but the variety of food was very good. Fresh Pancakes, Omlettes and eggs (boiled or fried) cold meats, chesses, fresh pasteries and fruit salads and even a toaster with all kinds of breads for breakfast. Lunch was the only let down, however if you had a look around then there was something to be had. The pool snack bar served excellent freshly baked pizza's, try the Zeynap, LUSH!! Pasta, chicken or beef along with the usual fresh salads and ofcourse chips. The beach bar served up burgers or hot dogs along with fresh salads.
Evening meals in the main restaurant again were busy, but we tried the Golf resort which was alot more relaxed with table service for drinks. We also tried the mediterranean and Italian A la carte restaurants, 6 courses all very good and tasty for 5 euros each (free for Under 10's)

We had room 1209, two large rooms for a family of four, balcony and sea view - perfect!
Get Rustu at the pool bar to make up any cocktails - top man and always remembered my order!!
When eating in the a la carte restaurants, you'll be given a wine list which we found expensive. Unless you want something special just stick to the house wines / beers which are obviously free

Water Slides were brill for all ages, main pool was great fun...sea was perfect to cool off.

All in all a top 7 days to relax and unwind.....

Room Tip: Room 1209 :-)

Just returned from a very disappointing week's stay. Good welcome on arrival at reception. Rooms were very small although they did have ample storage. Two people couldn't walk round the room. We had a Turkish bath and massage at the Spa and this was worth every penny. The pool area was clean and well maintained. We tended to use the Olympic pool which was meant to have no children under the age of 14 allowed in. This was totally ignored by the lifeguards - so it was not the quiet area it should've been. The beach was lovely with plenty of sunbeds.
That was all the best part of the holiday as the food was horrible. Never had such poor quality and lack of choice in a Turkish hotel. The staff couldn't care if they served you or not. We had the Chinese Al A Carte and the food neither looked nor tasted Chinese, although the waiter here was very helpful.
Found this hotel pandered to the needs of the Russians.
If you do visit Belek or Kadrye the taxi service is excellent.
The Thomas Cook rep Sarah was the best rep we've ever had.

Been there with my family for 5 days , Rooms are so tiny and small , Pillow are so hard are uncomfortable , Noisy surrounding from the hotels nearby , reception guys are not helpful at all and i found two of them a bit rude , They don't offer 5 stars amenities , services or even bath ROBS or Slippers .

Other than that the food is ok , the location is good , the pools are stunning , and its a good family place overall but i advise the guys going there to have some background languages as Turkish , Russian & German as most of the workers in the hotel don't speak English and most of the visitors are Russian or German.

The good: Kind and professional animation team, good and well educated staff, great swimming pool, the facility is good and well designed, large and clean rooms, a nice place to swim and exercise..

The average and negatives: Terribly dirty open toilets, the food is edible but mediocre (targeting the huge Russian population with tons of kids), EXTREMELY LOUD and disturbing high noises during the mornings from room services, the seabed is tiny sand thus making swimming in the sea problematic time to time..
