Reviewed February 17, 2014

The Cornelia Diamond is a fantastic hotel which reminded me of some of the better American Hotels i've stayed in in Florida and Las Vegas, The huge marble entrance way is impressive and the facilities in the Hotel are excellent with wonderful restaurants, excellent food and importantly, very attentive staff always on hand to provide you with drinks and all your needs. The Spa is one of the best I have experienced. My Wife and I spent a two week holiday here and had a number of gold outings planned over the period. The standards of Golf Course on this coastline are amongst the best in the world to my mind with over a dozen championship standard courses all within short travelling distance. We played a number of the other courses but our booking was with the Hotels own Faldo course being played the most. The Faldo course is the only downside with this in my opinion being the poorest of them all, albeit this is comparing it to the other ones in the area. I guess if you only played the Faldo then you may have been satisfied but having played the others, the small things and attention to detail was lacking. However, the Hotel itself, the complex, the facilities and staff were all highly satisfactory and I look forward to returning.

Room Tip: The food is excellent so don't wear tight fitting trousers!!

This was my first experience of an 'all inclusive' hotel and I was not expecting standards to be quite so high. I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly our room was spacious and comfortable with all the extras one could expect including tea and coffee making equipment, very welcome if you have an early start. We had a good sized balcony with a lovely view over the golf course and the distant snow-capped mountains. What, however, impressed the most was the truly wonderful food served in the main restaurant. Not only was the choice staggering but each individual dish was carefully thought out and executed. I could have done with a larger stomach (though definitely came home with one.) If you really care about the quality of food this is the place for you and, being self-service, you need have no worries about quantity either. Drinks are served at table and if you wish the wine can flow more than the water.

The same generosity and helpfulness applies to the bar areas. Think of a drink and they will have it, from cocktails to fine cognac, all served with nibbles and a smile. The friendliness and the professionalism of the staff here and in reception were excellent.

I can't comment on the outside facilities, this was early February but the layout looked very attractive.

There were a few downsides but these mainly applied to the spa area. This is quite extensive with pools and sauna suite. Unfortunately after a day playing golf it would have been nice to rest ones bones in a hot tub. Alas the warmest pool on offer was 29 degrees. Fine for swimming but not enough for easing aches and pains. In addition the price of massages and other treatments was, frankly ridiculous. These were almost three times what one pays elsewhere. I was hoping to avail myself of certain treatments but at these prices, no way.

Also housekeeping was a little erratic and not quite to the standard one would expect.

The Nick Faldo golf course next to the hotel is very pleasant with velvety green grass at this time of year and not too demanding. We were blessed with sunny weather so that helped. Sometimes the organisation was not quite up to scratch as when play was delayed because of early morning frost and it is irritating not being able to clean ones clubs oneself even if the cost is modest.

With these reservations I have still ranked this hotel excellent primarily for the food and service.

Loved this hotel, were only there for a week and wished we could have stayed longer.

It is expensive but you defiantly get your moneys worth! The room was amazing, so much complimentary stuff, I wish I never bothered to pack my toiletry bag! They really give you everything you could need.

The selling point for us were the pools, there are so many, that the we never felt crowded and thankfully there is an adult only area so you won't be bothered by children if you don't want to be. Equally there are very child friendly areas- a few water slides if you fancy a thrill. You go down a lot faster than you would expect so be warned ;)

The facilities were pretty extensive, there are activities for everyone You will never be bored here. We went bowling one evening where I lost spectacularly to my other half, but it was a great time. It does help to book ahead, some lanes weren't working and it was very popular the week we were there.

The beach wasn't brilliant, bit stoney and shingley. The pools more than make up for it though. The sea however we found was really warm, and the hotel mini pier/deck had a lovely bar and seating area.

The free wifi was a bit hit and miss, sometime was brilliant and could get in by the pools and other times it was a struggle to get it in the room.

The buffet was amazing and very extensive with a brilliant choice of food. it's a huge area so you never struggle to find a seat, you do have to guard you're table once you've found it though, because the staff clean up very quickly and if you leave it- you may find there is already another family sitting there.

The only thing that did annoy us was the extra charge for the À la carte Restaurants. I've been to many 5* hotels and have never been charged extra before. That said- the food was excellent in the ones we went to (Chinese, American, BBQ, seafood) If you don't want to pay the extra, the main buffet has more than enough choice.

Most impressive were the hotel staff, who were outstanding and incredibly helpful when my purse got stolen on a excruciation.

This however cannot be said for the Thomas Cook representative Natalie- the most unhelpful and useless person on the planet. We booked a Thomas Cook trip with her, the coach failed to turn up, after accusing us of lying (thankfully the hotel staff backed up our story) she 'promised' to refund our £115... this did not happen. IT TOOK 6 MONTHS for us to get our refund.

This hotel is brilliant, just be warned if you book trips with Thomas Cook.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for business purposes. Everything was perfect. Delicious food, excellent service.
However, the sea is kind of far from the hotel building and amenities, therefore it might not be the perfect beach hotel if you're the type that enjoys its time at the beach and go back and forth to the room during the day.
Other than that, it's a very good place.

Room Tip: rooms with the sea view are very nice

The service is beyond excellent, 99% free of charge for everything.I enjoy the meals, and Turkish style meals. I also enjoyed the night shows at the resort, with dancers from Russia. It is like being in the world by its own, where there are activities for everyone, for every age group.I also saw kids under 8 years had a night club party at the resort.A memorable holidays of my lifetime.

My partner and I spent one week at this resort- now we wish we had booked for longer!
There were many activities you can do both on and outside the resort.
The service we received by the staff was outstanding ! The quality of food and of the rooms unparalleled.
Despite being family friendly it was perfect for us as a couple without children looking for a romance, adventure and relaxation, there is a separate pool area with slides and a vast stretch of beach so we never really noticed any kids ...(maybe they were just well behaved !??) I believe there were disco nights too for them!
Food was always available there was even a 00:00 buffet service by the pool! We certainly put some weight on over the holiday !!
Bar staff particularly at the lobby bar were kind and friendly particularly a lady called Fulya (sp).
There are many of the spa rooms free to use - make use of them - they're a lot of fun and very relaxing. Only issue was the price of some of the messages and treatments etc however if you use a company e.g. First Choice you can take a trip to a traditional Turkish price with a price difference of close to £100-200, it only cost around £23 pp and was wonderful.
Most enjoyable holiday i would recommend to anyone, just make sure you take some trips out of the resort to see the real culture of this section of Turkey e.g. Kekova and Myra (we loved these trips) only issue is the hotel is quite far from places of cultural interest in general.
All in all ... AMAZING not a bad word to say about this Hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room with a sea view - usually at hotels we find ''sea view to mean the pool or tin...
