The chicken piri-piri not only has the spice rub, but there is also a house piri-piri sauce. This is extremely good not only on the chicken, but on the grilled pork (and I imagine just about everything else on the menu). A friendly, pleasant little restaurant, with a good wine list. But the sauce, that's special.

I have visited this restaurant every time I visit Tomar and the owner is lovely and very welcoming and remembers us every time we visit (not sure if that's a good thing!) The piri piri chicken is lovely and the sangria was very nice, the price is excellent for the amount of food you get. I will be back again next time we visit. my sister is a pescatarian and had the bacalhau a bras and a salad and she said it was fantastic, a friend had tuna last time and that was lovely too, we will be back x

Stopped here for lunch. Quite nice - huge portions - couldnt finish it. apparantly the owners who are portuguese used to live in Angola hence the spicey tastes in some of the dishes.

We returned Piri Piri again during our last visit to Tomar - it was fanastic as always! A family run place with Vito in front of house and his dad working hard in the kitchen. Try the Baccala a Braz (probably spelled incorrectly) - it's a Portuguese speciality and I've never had better - salted cod with thinly sliced potato, onion and held together with scrambled eggs. We will be returning to Tomar in August and will be sure to stop by - after all, it feels like home!

We stopped here for a late lunch and had two of the dishes of the day. Both very tasty. The owner is a really nice relaxed guy, and we came away with change from entrees, 2 mains, a beer and a large wine.

Very nice food - we loved O Tabuleiro and this place has a totally different menu so they are not the same. Also we sat outside here for a change, but could see there was a very pleasant dining room which would be a lovely spot for dinner. I would highly recommend both.
