We have just returned from our first visit to Burgau and, although we had promised ourselves that we would eat mainly in the villa or at restaurants serving local dishes, we had been advised to try this one and as the whole family (except me) are pizza fanatics we decided to give it a go.
Well, we went back again on the last night of our holiday which says how good it is.
While I tucked into my pasta, the rest all chopped and changed the ingredients on their pizzas and Ben rose to the occassion both times and gave them exactly what they wanted. Final opinions were unanimous that they were the best pizzas they had eaten in many years and the imitation rubbish supplied by most British pizza joints paled into insignificance against these.
Desserts are generous and delicious.
The staff are super friendly and outside of the restaurant act as the unofficial local dog rescue centre which scored them bonus points as far as we were concerned.
I heartily recommend this little piece of Italy in Portugal (even if it owned and run by Brits) to anyone staying in Burgau or the neighbouring towns.
