We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Casa Sete Leguas. We were in the smallest of the 3 houses on the property. The house is small but perfectly formed, with everything you need. The bedroom with mosquito net is really cool at night.the back garden especially is very private, full of greenery and shade. All you can hear are birds, crickets and the sound of the sea in the distance. Isabel is a wonderful host, available and helpful but never intrusive. We are keen cyclists and made great use of the 2 mountain bikes on the property.we had some lovely cycles nearby. Zambujeira is a lovely town with 2 great beaches. We were also able to put the bikes in the rental car by unclipping the front wheels which is easily done (if you have a medium car or bigger). Doing that we explored the historical part of the Rota Vicentina which is nearby. If you are interested in walking sections of the Rota this would be a great base to, especially for the Fishermans way which is very close and really beautiful. This is a wonderful part of Portugal and Casa Sete Leguas a great place from which to explore it.
Isabel's complex of houses / cottages immediately make you feel welcome. Casa Sete Leguas is well taken care of, clean and fresh. The main room with a basic kitchen has everything you need and with a door on either side has a wonderful cross breeze. The bedroom is just spacious enough and the bed comfortable. Bathroom is fresh and spacious.
Although there a few adjoined cottages on the land the space, indoor and out is private. Isabel was always there if we needed anything.
The place is a short drive from Zambujeira and only 10 minutes away from one of our favorite beaches in the area, Alterinhos.
We'd love to stay at Isabel's place again should we re visit this region.
