“Close to Manila international airport hotel”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

My family and I checked in to this hotel named, Nichols Airport Hotel. It was on day time and while we were at the airport ,I called the hotel to picked us and few minutes after that, the man came with our family name listed. WE stayed there for three nights before we went to the South part of the country. We had three beds, the other one is queen size and the two were is double bed. It was cleaned hotel and we have space. We had family size room, so it was really nice. The tv we had were flatscreen. With free breakfast too. You can trade in your free breakfast to a free ride to the airport ,if you want to make a deal with them . I used most of the van they had because they already have people that works on this hotel available at anytime and if you want to go anywhere in the city, you can hired them and paid 250.00 pesos . The nextday, we went to American cemetery and the guy said, we can pay them 1,000.00 pesos for 3 hrs ride. It was convenient since the drivers knew exactly most of the places in the city. You just have to give the driver a tip if you go around you can ask some questions too. But if you're familiar in Manila, the city metered taxi is more cheaper. Fr Nichols airport, I only paid 87.00 pesos for the four of us. You always have to say, if the taxi he is driving is metered otherwise, you will be ask for more money.
The hairdyer is not available in the room when you check in. You have to ask for it. The one we have is more quiter but the second time, we checked in . I was disappointed. They put us in the front of the building or in the third floor facing to the street. And it is very destructive, noise on the street all night. , honk of the cars that racing each other and etc.maybe. All night long, we didn't get a sleep until we left earlier to catch up our ride to the airport. I plan on coming back there again but next time I have to make sure the quiter part of that hotel. The first time we checked in ,it was great. But the second time on the way back , it was a disaster. The airconditioner is old and the room is hot . It was a small room and kind of pricey. Our room number was 351. Read reviews fr others side view before you look for a hotel. I always do that but I thought the second time we will be back would be as good as the first one but it wasn't. The only benefits we had that night is that they were closed to the airport. That's it. Ask a quiter room in that hotel because the first we checked in, it was quite and good.

Room Tip: Use the family room is more quiter and spacious. Or ask the receptionist before you checked in. If y...

Unfortunately we were stranded at Manila airport as there were some problems with our tickets. So contacted Nichols hotel, they at once send us an airport pickup. They were fast and professional. The hotel is like 15mins drive from the airport.
The check in was fast and the room that they gave us was big and well appointed. The rate was inclusive of airport transfer (one way) and breakfast.
The A/C in the room was not working cooling enough, as we were there for one night, we did not bother.

The breakfast to choose from is from a set menu from the coffee shop. The entire place is clean, comfortable and staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Wi-fi is Free but restricted to Lobby and Coffee Shop, but if you request they can give you room on the 5th floor that is Wi-Fi capable, but the signal is not strong and you will struggle with the connection.

Room Service is limited to beverages, sandwiches after 10pm. The bar on the roof top is excellent with a good view but is open till 12:00 MN only.

Next time if any one in Manila is looking for a decent budget accommodation look for this property, you will not be disappointed.

As others have said, the ONLY benefit of this hotel is proximity to the airport. But it's actually quite pricey for Philippine hotels, and they do nothing to justify it. The A/C in the stifling hot room barely worked; the room itself is dreary and not well-maintained; the restaurant is barely functional; and it has no amenities to speak of. I would not return here. The only plus is that the staff we encountered were actually all quite friendly.

From the time I arrived I knew I had made the wrong choice. There were so many things a little off and very few on. the checkin process was smooth enough but no smiles or local advice offered. The receptionist was cold and aloof. The room bed was small for me and I am a typical 5'11" westerner. The tv was an LCD and big enough size. The shower was luke warm at best and water pressure low. The room was so basic, no kettle, cups, tea, coffee or sugar. No coat hangers on the rail. Its in a bad area of Manila called Tondo, noisy and you just dont feel safe. No room safe supplied or offered. Included breakfast was ok but oh so small and no extra coffee! The transport service offered was sub standard and the price triple of a metered taxi. No help again offered by reception to obtain transport alternatives or advice. The security guard did his best to help out and I tipped him 150 peso for the help. I would never stay here again. An overal 1 out of 10 experience.

Room Tip: Just book else where

We stayed only for the one night, from after midnight to 4:30 am, so we did not eat breakfast. The room is small, beds are not so comfortable, but cleanly managed I think. The staff is not kind to us(for it's late time?). The surroundings are not favorable to the foreign travelers, so only for one night hotel for the next day's flight, I guess.

PS. WE arrive the terminal 1 around 5:00 AM, but it takes more than 1 hour just go inside the terminal 1. Please be aware it is very crowded airport.

Friendly staff and good food. Their Lechon Kawali and Sisig are to die for.

Location is few minutes away from the Airport, 5 mins away from Mall of Asia and Resort World Manila.

Nice and clean, and very close to the airport.
They offer reasonably priced airport transfers.
The rooms are big.
Only minus was that the breakfast was not quite served on time, (the chef was late out of bed this particular morning) and it was not a buffet-style breakfast as in other places.
