visited the place with a foodie friend...
i recommended the place because of the nice ratings the restaurant received here in trip advisor...
their foods were nice...
pad thai is highly recommended, much better than its pricey counterpart...
binagoongang rice is average.... nice combination of adobo, green mangoes n shrimp paste based rice...
thai milk tea is highly recommended, excellent.... a second serving would not be too much...
however, as people warned, it is a restaurant beside the marikina market...
you visit there because of the food and not the venue...

The restaurant is owned by a Thai living in the area, so I guess questions about authenticity are addressed. No, from the items we ordered, the taste hasn't been "Filipinized" meaning spicy is still spicy and the flavors of Thailand (lemongrass, galangal, basil, chili, among others) can still be tasted. Of course, there are a few concessions to local tastes like the Liempo meal but the Thai offerings will make you feel you're in a Bangkok soi not in a street in Marikina.

We ordered pad thai, tom yum, spicy papaya salad, Thai iced tea and a rather different version of catfish mango salad. All were delicious. The catfish mango salad differs from the usual shredded catfish. The Krung Thai version has fried breaded catfish chunks with green mango slices. I haven't encountered this rendition in Bangkok or Pattaya (or even other Thai restaurants in Metro Manila) but it's still tasty nonetheless. Perhaps, it's the version you'll see on Thai homes where you don't have the time or equipment to shred a fried catfish? I don't know. But it's good anyway.

There are also Thai food products and dry goods for sale. Service is quick and friendly.

If you're living near the area, it's obvious why it's a local favorite. It can get full during lunch time even during weekdays. If you're visiting the area, it's worth the trip. I am not not sure if I can call it full-on authentic but it's sure is the most honest tasting, homiest Thai restaurant I've been to.

Our whole family basically grew up in marikina, and I didn't know that this place is actually a restaurant! We tried their pad thai, chicken, bagoong rice and the seafood soup (i forgot the name) and they're all very delicious!! I must say i love their fried chicken (you can actually taste the coconut milk in the chicken skin, so good!) and their bagoong rice with mango salsa. Very good! Their milk tea is also a must try! When you come here in Marikina, you must try this thai resto, accessible to all!:) though the place is quite small and usually jampacked on weekends with families having lunch. But i am proud to be a marikeño!:)

The food here is great. Topnotch. Highly recommended is their Tom Yum Soup, Bagoong Rice with Adobo and Green Mango Salad, and Thai Iced Tea.

The travel may be worth it especially after the food made your tummy full but parking here is a great deal of challenge. Tip: Go there probably early like 11 in the morning on a weekend.

i grew here in marikina and i didnt know that this resto exist, though im very familiar with its location since it is found in marikina public market, dry goods section. krung thai serves very good authentic thai food! so far the best thai resto we ever tried. we ordered their bagoong rice, thai fried chicken, tom yam and milk tea. these are their best sellers and really must try!four thumbs up including my toes. owner must have some improvements on their facade and facility which may help them have a greater opportunity to attract more food ethusiasts... will definitely bring my family here to share the great taste bud expeience i had. *(^_^)
