“Relaxing place to stay in Candidasa”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

I stayed here for two nights, the hotel is centrally located on the main street in Candidasa, you can easily walk to restaurants and shops. The rooms are small, simply furnished, but very clean and comfortable. Each has a deck surrounded by ponds and foliage, you feel as if you are in your own little world; very relaxing. The hotels transport service is very good, I had their driver, Putu, pick me up at my hotel in Ubud, and we spent the day sightseeing on our way to the hotel. Recommended.

We stayed here for 6 night with my husband and two children as our friend was getting married at The Water Palace. The staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast each morning was very enjoyable.Although this is a boutique hotel they were so lovely with my children and they had a great holiday.

Spent 1 week at the watergardens and wished we had stayed
longer. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for
you.The rooms and gardens were bueatiful and private. It had
everything there,if you needed to shop you only had to walk
out the front to the main street,or cross the road to go to the beach
or just stay by the private pool or your verandah and enjoy total
peace and quite. The office staff were very pleasant and nothing
was to much bother for them.we were there for a family wedding
at the sea breezes but we couldn't all stay there i'm so glad we missed
out and stayed at the watergardens instead. We will be going back for
another stay,we had 2 young granddaughters with us and they loved
staying there so much they want to go back.

Room Tip: for mobility lower rooms are close to pool with no steps.

I have just spent 6 nights here and I can't fault anything. Each room is a little cabin with its own very private verandah overlooking lush greenery and a water lily pond. It's wonderful to relax and watch the fish and the birds away from any noise from the main street. All the staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is just as good as any of those close by, and there is no extra charge if you want the meal brought to your room. The swimming pool is small but lovely and plenty big enough for the size of the hotel. Can't wait to go again.

After a lot of research on the internet I decided that this was the place for us.My husband and I are in our later age group and we wanted somewhere away from the hussle and bussle of the street life. This place is the place no real noise to speak of just a little water noise from the Koi fish jumping from there ponds to catch a bug. We had a room away from the street and the atmosphere was to die for just so relaxing. The whole area was just so clean and well maintained, the staff so plesent and attentive, they always had a smile. The restaurant well there again most enjoyable food altho I did get stuck onto the vegetarian nasi goring that was just just well you get what I mean. The restaurant staff were again all smiles and helpful so helpful that for one meal we wanted just baked beans on toast and they went out of there was to produce baked beans on toast just like home in Perth they were delish
I would recomend going to the water garden hotel to anyone who want a quiet relaxing time

Room Tip: We chose a room away from the street and they were the quietest so rooms 9,10,11 & 12

This is the second time we have stayed at The Watergarden and it didnot disappoint .We stayed 3 nights and we love the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful gardens and complete privacy.Waking up in the morning and feeding the koi carp from our verandah was a real treat. The staff are very helpful and friendly .We had a massage at the Orchid spa and found it very good and value for money. The bathroom in our room had recently been reonvated.Looking forward to our third stay next year!

On the basis of the advice here and other acquaintances, we booked at The Watergarden hotel for a week, as a base to explore the east and north of Bali. A water garden it certainly is and the seclusion you get in the gardens is complete. We stayed in the two-bedroom Kul Kul suite and enjoyed the privacy of its pool, though the hotel pool is great too (not so much for laps though). The staff are certainly lovely and attentive, making our stay very pleasant. Just a footnote: the lack of attention to detail lets the suite down somewhat (I can't speak for the rest of the accommodation). A coat of paint wouldn't hurt and some of the furniture and furnishings are looking tired, but not enough to be described as antique. The private dining area needs a significant tidy-up. The breakfast was a good start to the day but having tried other restaurants around, we felt the restaurant's food could be a little better. The spa actually is two massage beds in a converted bedroom so don't go expecting a full-on spa. Both my wife and I had a massage there. While I enjoyed mine, she was less impressed by hers. They certainly are good value compared with what we get in Dubai. It probably still is among the better places to stay in Candidasa.
