In May 2012 we stayed one night at Ashyana Hotel in Candidasa. We already coming to Candidasa on holiday for many years and we stay then in Alam Asmara. This time we tried something else. And we were happy that we did! It's a very pleasant hotel with swimmingpool and fantastic view on the sea. The restaurant (Le-Zat) is very good, nice food and relaxing atmosphere. But, what we expecially liked is the friendly staff, who all are very well trained and so friendly. They all speak good English and they really make your stay to wish to stay longer. When we are back in October this year, we definitely will go back to Ashyana.

the location right on the beach was great, and sitting in the pool in the afternoon having a couple of bintangs was so relaxing. the food was spot on, every meal we had was lovely as was the food at all the restaurants in cand dasa. The staff were friendly and helpfull. we had the room in front of the pool which i reckon is the best one. you can get a guy from out the front of the hotel to take you snorkeling, this was the highlight of our trip by far.

The service & location was spot on for a one night stay in Candidasa. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast (american option) was included & good. The beachside location was nice but common in Candidasa. Beds were good.

Decent sized bathroom. Towels were a bit old & the shower was like a waterfall. This was a bit dangerous as there was water on the bathroom floor where you can't avoid walking.

It was good to have two electrical sockets for charging mobiles & cameras. Downside was although free wi fi not available in rooms & although should work on balcony it didn't. Good signal at restaurant though.
