“Stunning Villa with Amazing Staff”
Reviewed November 18, 2010 for a stay in November 2010

From the moment we entered this beautifully designed villa we have been enchanted by the location, the design of the rooms and dining ares and the amazing staff. There is an amazing map drawn by the owners showing all of the great snorkeling areas right in front of the villa and we visited them all. The pool is wonderfully designed and my children literally lived in it from sunup to sundown. The food was excellent and the service was 5 star! We will be back!

“Wonderful stay in a beautiful and comfortable location”
Reviewed October 10, 2010 for a stay in September 2010

The villa was spectacular, as were the sunsets. They cooked a really nice meal for us one night and on other nights we ate at 1-2 of the excellent restaurants in town, about a 5 minute drive. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

“a welcome retreat”
Reviewed September 12, 2010 for a stay in May 2010

We spent 2 nights in Villa Talia Vashti with our boys. They were excited from the moment we entered and looked straight through the villa to the pool, sand and ocean. Within minutes clothing was off, board shorts were on and snorkels in place for some "practice" in the pool before the real thing in the water. As we hovered over our little "fish" the staff kindly settled us in and continued to assist us for the duration of our stay. They could not of been more accommodating, whether it be preparing a meal or giving some local advice. We found the Villa to be impeccably tidy with quality decorating. There was a selection of books for the adults and dvds for our kids to watch whilst drying out from hours swimming and exploring. A relaxing stay was had by young and old.

“A Slice of Paradise”

This is a beautiful villa in Candidasa. It is seafront, with direct access to coral reefs for snorkeling (that's one of the main reasons why I chose it, my husband loves the sea and for him communing with fish is always a highlight). The pool is strategically located such that one can enjoy both sunrise and sunset at the poolside or in the pool. The rooms are beautifully designed and all en-suite and spacious.

The Villa Talia has 5 staff looking after the property and guests, and the cooks are amazing. In the end I felt we had far better meals at the villa than at the restaurants which were on their own fairly decent. We had the Bebek Betutu (Balinese roast duck) twice and grilled pork ribs which everyone raved over, salads and urad (Balinese coconut salad), pepes (fish grilled in banana leaves) with fish that the husband and son caught on a fishing trip The cook taught me to make dessert crepes stuffed with coconut and sugar (kueh dadar). The staff also took care of all our bookings for activities, transport arrangements, even restaurant reservations when we chose to eat out. We were absolutely spoiled.

The children were happy to stay in most of the time, in the pool or the sand, but my husband and I spent alot of time walking out to explore the village (Mendira) and its folk. We took walks 2-3 times a day, made friends with everyone we met, discovered a coconut plantation and fishing village nearby, watched the Balinese harvest coconuts - very fascinating. Met a guy walking his pig like a dog. Totally cracked up when he told me his pig was named "lup cheong" which in Chinese means sausage.

All in all a wonderful holiday in a wonderful place.

“Bali as you'd like to imagine it would be - this is it!”
Reviewed October 6, 2009 for a stay in September 2009

The villa is exquisitely located and has all the beauty as you see in the pictures. We were not disappointed. The staff are wonderful, responding to needs often before they were voiced. (Scrubbing steps to beach so we could swim in the lagoon.) We recommend the seafood buffet and any menu items as excellent value. Suggest the menu could be extended to include more local dishes.
Taxi services, even free pickups were great and Candidasa offers a wide variety of food experiences.
A truely delightful location, cannot be faulted - a piece of paradise.
