“Nice location, but located close to the mainstreet”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Nice cottages located in a small garden around a pool. The hotel was set up as a stylish resort in the past, but then the years came and went. The stylish details need some more attention, they have suffered a bit in the last years, e.g. the ponds around the daybeds and in the entrance area.

The resort ist located just off the main street, this means you will be able to hear the traffic during the night. The cottages all have A/C and gigantic bathrooms with in- and outdoor showers and even a small private garden. This hotel is not run in the balinese style.

I would recommend this resort to the cost-conscious traveller of eastern Bali.

This boutique hotel is quiet and nicely maintained. Decoration is simple but pleasing. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is freshly prepared for each hotel guest. Restaurant faces the lotus lagoon and has a very nice setting. Location in Candidasa is good, on the main road, but rooms and facilities set back from the road.
Hotel room's sliding doors have some gaps so there may be lizard and some mosquito in room - hotel provides each room with pesticide. Agree with another reviewer's comment that the roof and doors like cheap if you really look at it, but most of the time we didn't notice it.

Room Tip: Room number 2,3,4,5 are facing the swimming pool. Since hotel is quiet and not too busy, these are c...

Had a fantastic tasty meal and for someone who doesn't eat desserts, there was so much choice that sounded so good i had to try their dessert sushi. The menu asks to save time, if you could order desert at the time of ordering your main meal. Well lucky we did as we still had to wait about 30 minutes for it, but the wait was worth it. The staff are friendly and we couldn't fault the service. I would definitely return in the future.

This Hotel, holiday resort is something special and relaxing whilst on holiday.
Entrance from Main Road down an amazing pattern of concrete platforms to the wide open grass land surrounded by coconut trees. Can also enter via the Restaurant which borders on to the huge lotus filled Lagoon, which leads to Fishing Village.
Also a vehicle entrance down short lane to left of Main entranceway.
Five lovely one bedroomed bungalows and one 3D Villa, slightly larger, and with lounge. Our place for five nights.
Huge swimming pool for 12 guests and nice resting places surrounding, complete with whit leather bean bags to settle into.
Restaurant and lounge close to Lagoon, lovely well priced food, and delightful breakfasts.

Disadvantages.......no free bottled water, mini bat fridge was completely frozen up and in need of big defrosting, plug not work in bathroom handbasin, hot water supply to shower erratic, DVD player/Television had not been checked out and needed three attempts to correct and get to work properly.

Apart from these many minor hiccups we had a truly restful and interesting time. Even went for long walk through town to German bakery for meal.....no tax or surcharge there, unlike all the other places. Wine was 129,000 IDR per bottle.

Not your usual flower bedecked villa in Bali.....wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Ask for the Villa 3D......has inside and outside showers, and bigger rooms, including lounge.

I was there with my future wife for a few days in September. We loved the place!! Beautiful rooms, with spacious bathrooms, interior was lovely although a bit cheap in the making (doors, roof etc). But still very very tastefull!
We had Vila nr.1, which unfortunately was the closest to the busy road, and to a local quarter. There one dog started barking every night at 3.00am and stopped only when the roosters took over... Ah well I guess that is Bali.
We had a problem with the hot water on our first day, and after mentioning it to the manager in charge, who was very helpful, friendly and aprociable, it got fixed. A few times the electricity was gone, but for only 20 min or so. No biggie.
We are both Maldives experts (4season resort, cocoa island resort, kandooma, vilamendhoo, etc), and can tell you; for the price we paid here, you do really get a LOT! In the maldives we paid an average room rate of over 500$ per night (B&B), and here not even 60$, so dollar for dollar, great value!!
Thanks to all the friendly staff there, Gardner, room boy, manager on duty and even the waiters who made it so special and relaxing for us! 5 thumbs up!

We only spent one night in Candidasa on our way to Gili Islands but this place was amazing. We found the hotel through tripadvisor based on people's comments, but we didn't expect the hotel to be as nice as it was and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our stay was so brief that we didn't even have the chance to stay for breakfast, but it was simply gorgeous and we wished we had had more time. Definitely recommend staying here.
