We've been to this resort twice. The second time the staff welcomed us back as if we were family. The rooms are good as are the resort gardens. It's a bit out of Candidasa but there are some good little restaurants in the lane just outside. There is a shuttle into town and the restaurants there will send a taxi to pick you up and return you.
The staff are really friendly and helpful, can't do enough for you.

A perfect vacation! This was our first time in Bali and, of course, at this hotel. But it will not be our last visit. If you want rest and relaxation, this is the place to be. Small hotel, but big personality! The staff was amazing!!! Thank you Suartini, Airini, Gede, Dewa, Ryan, Ketut, Buda, Milas and the rest of the staff for making our stay a memorable one. You made us feel welcome. We were so sad when we left as we felt that we were leaving friends behind. The cooking class was outstanding!! The spa treatments were fabulous!! (I had one almost everyday!!!)

Room Tip: Room # 7 was the best!

Lovely week spent at RBBC which has an excellent restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with kitchenette. A lovely small boutique hotel with well kept gardens.
Pool area great with lovely views over the ocean and because Pandangbai Harbour is not far away there are always ships out at sea which makes it an interesting outlook at night with all their lights on.
There are a few little restaurants/warungs on the street just outside RBBC which are worth eating at as their prices are very good.
Good snorkelling at Blue Lagoon and White Sands beach also worth a visit, There are restaurants on the beaches there which are well priced for lunch.
Highly recommend our driver Yasa from Bali Yasa Tour for your airport pickup and any otherr tour needs. He speaks very good English and is very knowedgeable, is an owner driver with a
clean air conditioned car.... yasa.kadek@yahoo.com

I visited in May 2012, and we loved our stay there. The resort staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Though the resort is tucked away in a lane far away from the bustling areas of Bali, it is a great place to stay. The rooms were nice, and so was the bathroom. The mini-kitchen was good enough for us, and we did manage our breakfast in house and save on the whopping hotel rates. The mini-kitchen consisted of a microwave, hot water kettle, toaster, chopping board, kitchen knife and crockery/cutlery for 4.
Totally recommend you use the kitchen and save on cost.
The jacuzzi was awesome. Hot water to massage our tired bodies after a tiring day.
Use their shuttles to go into Candidasa. Strike a deal with local drivers instead of using their cars.
Clean, quiet and comfortable, with an amazing view of the ocean !

Room Tip: Room number 3 is THE BEST room !!! Room with a view and close to the jacuzzi on the ground level.

Once again my wife and I stayed at the RBBC Candi Dasa and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. This resort is the place to go for a nice rest, as it is quiet and peaceful most of the time. This time there was a lot of activity outside where the local authorities were building up a rock wall to stop beach corrosion because of recent storm damage. It was very interesting to watch. We love the pool at the resort and spent quite a bit of time in it. The staff are fantastic and really look after you the whole time your are in their care. A definite must visit place in Bali, away from the maddening crowds of Kuta.

Room Tip: We had a studio room this time and it was more than adequate for our needs. It was upstairs and had...

We are a family of 5 (me, my husband, husband's brother and parents-in-laws) who stayed at Royal Bali Beach Club last week - June 2012. We had been allotted 1 double room for the 2 of us and 1 unit with a bedroom+stuido room & kitchenette.
The rooms were comfortable & bathrooms clean. Housekeeping visited 2-3 times a day to clean up BUT didnt provide any drinking water! You are better off buying the 19L Aqua either from the hotel or from the nearby shop (which is slightly cheaper).
We spent 2 full days in the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool wasnt crowded and there were plenty of lounge chairs along the seafront. There is no beach along the resort but a seafront which is gorgeous!
The biggest pain with staying here is the distance. Distance from Ubud the city centre, or Kuta or Nusa Dua. Anything is atleast a 2 hour drive from here which can get very tiring to do everyday. We had fixed up with a cab driver Komang who came with his Innova for 8-12 hours on 3 days. He charged us 450,000 rupaiahs for 8 hours which was very reasonable given we were 5 of us. I thought this was a very good idea since driving in Bali is not really a great pleasure. There is a lot of traffic in the city and difficulty in finding parking space as well. Driving is not the best idea when you can hire a cab with a driver, especially Westerners may find the traffic quite chaotic but coming from India it is not so bad.

Food is quite expensive at the resort. We just had 1 dinner which was Barbecue Night with Balinese dance performance. The food was average and we were honestly surprised to find no prawns or good fish at the Barbecue. We ran a bill of 1.5 Mio rupaiahs with a couple of drinks which was more than any meal we ate even in good restaurants in Candidasa village.
We had many a small meals at the local cafes just outside the resort - Nyoman's cafe and Taman Sari restaurant. These are small joints opened by enterprising locals in their houses. The food is good and great value for money. Do not expect fresh fruit juice but squash when you order juice, but I mean what more can you expect in 30,000 rupaiahs (~3 USD) when you've got Toast, 2 eggs, ham, tomatoes & coffee?
For good meals, call up any restaurants in the Candidasa village (10 mins drive) for booking a table and they will organise pick up and drop! This was a great service provided and hence we ended up trying Vincent's, The Dining (Pizza joint) & Jogolo. Wide range of Indonesian and International dishes are available at all these restaurants and very reasonable prices too.

Most of the trips/ tours organised by the resort are very expensive, you can have the same experience by planning trips on your own. While the resort staff is very sweet and helpful, it gets annoying when they keep trying to sell you the tours.

Finally, the resort has a small Spa (2 beds) which is quite overpriced. Andre's spa just outside on the mail road offers all services at a much lower price. Hence the resort offered a huge discount on the treatments and we ended up ditching Andre's for the K Spa at the resort. The treatments at the Spa were very good and it all turned out just fine!

Overall we had a good stay at the resort coz we were quite happy to be tucked away in a small village in Bali for most days but if you are looking for surfing & partying on all days in Bali, avoid.

Room Tip: The 4 Rooms (2 ground floor and 2 first floor) closest to the pool and seafront have a great view
