To start of I never expected to experience so much of peace in Goa...I am back with a rejuvenated soul....Its a huge property.with 2 beautiful lakes & an amazing walking area around it. 2 swimming pools & fishing will keep you busy the entire day...The staff is well trained. Rooms are neatly done though they can provide more toiletries. Mini bar is average. Go for the lake facing rooms as that area is more quiet then the pool facing rooms. The property is very well maintained. Eating is a problem especially for vegetarians as they have very limited options. Near by eateries are also average. Breakfast has good options on daily basis. Shuttle service to Baga beach is also good. Overall a great place, lot of peace & serenity with nature around you. They can work a bit on eating options.

Room Tip: Go for lake facing rooms.

Just returned from three months at the Marinha Dourada, Lost count of the amount of times at this hotel and to Goa. Never had a problem with the hotel, kept clean, and always nice to see
the same staff, not to mention the repeat guests, of which their are plenty,
The hotel is about a mile from the beach, just far enough away from the beach for peace and quiet and near enough to the Baga, the hotel has a free shuttle bus which runs every hour to the beach. Some of the guests find that breakfast is not adequate, but these are the ones that want a 5 star breakfast at 3 star prices, also they are the ones who take the bread, butter, boiled eggs, coffee, teabags, ect from the breakfast area, sometimes i am ashamed to be British, its embarrassing watching them stuff these things into a bag so they can make a sandwich later, God knows what the Goans and the other foreigners think of the Brits.

lovely hotel lovely surroundings staff very helpful room boys do a very good job. Swimming pool could do with a makeover but otherwise most enjoyable holiday with friends we met last year. Lots of nice resturants to visit with friendly service. Scooters for hire if you have the nerve to ride one roads very busy. Lots of taxis to take you to nearby beaches. Shuttle bus takes you to nearby Baga beach where there are planth of shacks for refreshments.

Another great stay at the md staff are great very friendly and can't do enough for you
Even the gardeners to stop and ave a chat in the morning while having a stroll round the lake on the way to breakfast
The rooms are great and very clean the view off the lakes from the balcony as the sun sets is great
The room we choose is the farthest away from reception but the walk is a real highlight speaking to so many friendly
People along the way and looking at the wildlife and gardens
The breakfast is also great set in the open air but well shaded area looking out into the woodland
Will defo be back next year well done to all at the md keep up the good work
Iam sure the people who complain about the hotel having no lift do relies its only 3 floors but iam sure you would be
Given a ground floor if requested or maybe some people just like having a pointless moan

The resort is located out of town, but not in a very secluded spot, so lacation was not at a great disadvantage. Rather, it is nice here if you want to see stars and want to listen to birds chirp. The property is well maintained, there is a lot of open space, nice to walk around. The two lakes are quite large with some fisheres. One can sit by the lakes in the morning and evening and throw something like bread pieces and the fishes come along to eat. My son enjoyed it a lot. The bar is good, the food is also good, but laks variety. Also a little expensive for indian tourists. The breakfast is again monotonous, though sumptuous. The rooms are good, but the bathroom towels are not soft. The property is three storeyed, but there is no lift. the rooms have lake view, and the belconies are good. There are nearby restaurants which serve food in a cheaper rate, and the foods are tastier. There is a texi stand at the gate of the resort, so communication is not a problem. My advise is, stay there, take a first floor lace facing room, don't eat there. And don't keep waiting for the complimentary suttle to Bagga if you don't have a lot of time to kill.

Room Tip: take a lake facing room in first floor.
