“must in your goa travel.”

Ithere are 2 markets held every saturday one is the old one and this is the new one. It should have more than 300 shops and with 20+outlets serving food and drinks. there is an open theatre where live performance continue through the night till 5 am. Music was super and good to see every one dancing all night. This is a market majorly for Russians with 20% locals thrown in. Its a must to go.What a great place to be for people watching. It is quite amazing to see the diversity of people at this place. I could have sat and watched all night :) The stalls are quite good too with a whole bunch of different things on sale.

“A "Must Visit" place”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

We went there rather late in the day, or rather night, and the crowd had thinned out considerably. However most of the shops were open and what an array of goods. From beads, exotic teas and spices to hep clothes, artifacts and toys. The night market had it all. All you need to do is actually look for what you want and then do some serious bargaining. There are numerous food stalls too where there is a huge variety on offer.

This is a very busy market! It starts at 9pm and we went around 11 and it was still packed. I suggest leaving it a bit later before going as it is quieter and you can get a seat in the bars and trust me - they won't run out of stuff to buy! It's massive!! It has live bands, bars, clubs playing Goan trance. It's a must see!

Great to go and enjoy this unique market the best I have ever been to, the clothes are a delight to see as so different from the usual items on many other stalls, I think the hippies are the ones that make and design these unusual clothes, prices are above average for Goa.
Toilets are the worst I have been to, try and avoid, allow 2-3 hours to look properly around this large very busy market.
Taxi is the best option and from Candolim should be no more than 700 rupees.
