Located in the Nuy Valley Leipzig Country Lodge has a lot to offer. We stayed for two nights and found the staff to be friendly.
We ate in the restaurant on site for both nights and the food was amazing and excellent value for money.
Leipzig country house is a family run business and it shows. They welcome you with open arms and make it their mission to make your stay the best that it can be. Positioned in the Nuy valley, the view is breathtaking. They cultivate and produce their own wines and take the time out to teach you about it. The Chardonnay is my favorite. The food was amazing and it is evident that fresh produce is being used. I would definitely go back there and possibly stay for longer.
The scenic, peaceful Nuy Valley is home to olive groves, vineyards, and mixed agriculture all against a background of blue mountains between Worcester and Robertson on Route 62 between Cape Town and the Garden Route. Home to delicious Willow Creek olive oils and the famed red muscadel from Nuy Winery (pronounced Nay), plus some historic farms, Leipzig is a guest farm at the end of the road and the best property to stay at. Whilst one must be aware it is geared too for conferences and meetings, so if a couple, check what groups are there at the time, it has an excellent chef, scenic views and a lovely garden with owls close to our room. Some rather unusual local art, friendly staff, it is a rambling mix of older and newer accommodation options, which offer comfort if not luxury. Nuy is worth the detour and we were pleased to overnight here before our next stop Montagu.
