What an absolutely fabulous place to spend the night! Warm welcome, very hospitable hosts Bridget and Judy, make one feel totally relaxed and at home. Very comfortable room where everything worked perfectly, lots of lovely hot water, excellent linen. Immaculate, tranquil garden and a super breakfast. We really can recommend this guesthouse, as well as Fowler's restaurant nearby for a great steak or seafood.

Room Tip: We had a lovely quiet garden facing room

Over time I have become very sceptical about the well-known 'wheelchair sign' that indicates whether an establishment is considered accessable etc. With so many diverse disabilities represented amongst travellers, it must be appreciated that it is difficult to have an establishment that is truly accessable for all. The Habit may not have this sign up to describe its facilities and services but hosts Bridget and Judy prove, by their caring acceptance and willingness to go all the extra miles, that accessibility and 'disability friendly' is indeed a matter of attitude more than facilities. Thank you for the freedom to ask for help - and that you did not 'faff'. Martha

Room Tip: Room 3 - Judy had warned of morning noise from the street due to the school oppposite but this reall...

Definitely 5 star B&B! Fantastic hostesses in Judy and Brigitte, so warm and friendly and Brigitte has superior knowledge of the history and best places to visit in the Western Cape. Rooms are fantastic, white linen, wooden floors, warmers in winter and fans in summer. Can highly recommend this accommodation to both local and international visitors, you will get your monies worth!!

Stayed at The Habit on a work trip and we were made to feel very welcome. Very comfortable rooms, a nice communal area to unwind, and great hospitality. The owners were very accommodating and went out of there way to help. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome feom Bridget when we arrived early evening and immediate offer to book a table for dinner, as we freshened up in an attractively decorated bedroom ensuite. An offer of a lift was declined and we decided to walk to Fowlers Restsurant, which was an enjoyable 7 mins brisk walk away. Great fillets steaks and good service, well priced, a good recommendation. We debated Briget's kind offer to call her when we were finished to collect and decided we would enjoy the walk back and a chance to digest. Very comfy bed, lovely linen, slept well. A delicious breakfast served by friendly staff ended a very pleasant, relaxed stay

Room Tip: Our bedroom opened onto the garden and pool area. It was quiet and cooled by an overhead fan when...

Good price, only stayed one night, cooked breakfast - my husband just asked for mushrooms on toast we were asked to do our own toast and it appeared he was only given around three sliced mushrooms!
As we wanted to go out and eat on the evening we asked the guy there about a cab, as we were unsure about walking out after dark, he informed us there were no taxis in Worcester, following morning on check out the lady told me there were people in Worcester who would have picked us up!
Excellent restaurant is Fowlers, great food, great prices.

Good Morning,
I am only responding now to your review as my earlier reply I think was never received. I was devastated to see your review especially as it is the only "poor" rating we've experienced to date. I would personally like to apologize.
Having been in the business for 17 years now we have found it better that guests make their own toast as each guest's likes differ so drastically as to how they like their toast; white, brown, seed, well done, charred, or warm bread? This also reduces the food waste as each person makes their own choices as to how many slices they would like. I am sorry your husband only received 3 mushrooms on his plate.....I find this hard to believe if this was all that was ordered and we would then make it more than usual. Sorry.
As I explained to you the next morning, there is no taxi service in Worcester, but there is a tour operator/shuttle service that can be approached if he is available and would gladly assist in such an event. I unfortunately only had a "bakkie" available that evening which could take only one person at a time, so again I'm sorry, I should have offered to ferry you one at a time.
My sincere apologies and hope this has not put you off coming to stay again.
Kind regards
Bridget
