Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay at Bonne Esperance guest house. We endeavour to create a memorable, value for money experience in a warm and welcoming environment.
With regards to the shower, in the interest of being GREEN we have installed Hans Grohe water-saving shower heads. These shower heads use 5 liters of water per minute versus the conventional shower heads which use 16 liters per minute. This however implies that the shower needs a bit more fine tuning to be at the perfect temperature, nonetheless we are sure that guests will still enjoy the shower knowing that they are doing their bit for the environment.
Other projects we are busy with is replacing all the light bulbs with energy saving light bulbs, recycling glass, paper and plastic and making a compost heap for our beautiful garden.
We hope to welcome to back again to our delightful piece of paradise!
A beautiful building with very friendly staff. This place was great value for money and was less than 5 minutes walk to the fabulous bars and restaurents. The room was on the small side but Stellenbosch is so beautiful you hardly spend any time in your room so not a problem. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was very nice to take some time to cool down and relax. We had an early flight so the hotel staff organised for breakfast to be left in our room's fridge which was a really nice touch. I would definately return to this guets house and would reccommend to my friends and family.
A beautiful, historic building set in a pretty garden, the Bonne Esperance is the perfect place to stay in the cute town of Stellenbosch.
The managers were very friendly!
We stayed in the petite guest room - it's pretty small but very comfortable and perfect for a couple that does not spend its vacation sitting in their hotel room. ;-)
Very friendly personnel, excellent breakfast with freshly made orange juice.
Centrally located in the (safe) village of Stellenbosch.
They recommended the Basic Bistro (at 5 min walking distance in Church street) to have dinner and it was delicious over there indeed!
We stayed here for 4 nights and used it as our base for our time at the cape. It was a very good choice being well located for all the visits we wanted to make.
The hotel is located close to the centre of Stellenbosh so it was a short walk to very good restaurants for our evening meal.
The staff were excellent and very helpful. Maroli gave us excellent advice on restaurants and day trips.
A great little guest house to stay at. Very friendly staff, nice rooms and well priced. Breakfast could be better but at the price charged you can't complain. I would recommend this place.
