Remhoogte is home to some of the best red wines at great prices. Wine tasting is always delightful and the reception friendly. Seating is available outside under the trees with a view over zebra's and other game. Should you like to do a picnic, it is unfortunately only available with prior booking. Alternatively they now have cheese platters. Previously, the nicest platters with biltong, cheese and preserves were available, but unfortunately for some reason these were discontinued :( A must for any wine lover, especially those who prefer the less commercial estates with excellent full-bodied red wines. You can not go wrong with any of the Remhoogte wines!!!

Stopped in for an afternoon wine tasting - the staff were friendly, welcoming and informative from start to finish. The wine tasting was well priced and showed off the full range of Remhoogte wines. They also brew ales although they only sell them by the bottle - would have been nice to be able to taste those too.

We enjoyed a cheese platter while we tasted the wines in the stunning estate with springbok and zebra roaming the fields in front of us!

A really great wine tasting experience - would definitely recommend it.

Close to the town so easy to visit. Beautiful tasting rooms with an outside area under the trees looking over a pretty dam with game in the field. We had the picnic which was perfect, a must if you are visiting. Very friendly staff and family who are only too pleased to help. Lovely wines , white and red which we purchased. Also now doing boutique beer which is also very good, took some away as well. Will definitely be back

In South Africa year 2012,Saw a well placed sign on the roadside and thought lets have a quick look.
It was a good decision,we had found Remhoogte Wine Estate.A lovely setting,a backdrop of game, lovely food and the lovely Maggie Wheeler a really good front person for this family run wine estate. We had a particularly nice afternoon in the sun and in nice company. While we were there we sampled some excellent wines. We brought back home (UK) Some 2011 Bushvine Pinotage. This evening we had a bottle with dinner,it was marvelous, reminding us of the visit and putting me in mind to post this, A little late, but better late than never!

A 10 minute drive and you arrive, to be met by pleasant family members, all willing to please. Bottle of wine comes with picnic basket, but we were still encouraged to try other wines - who could resist?! Individual hot quiches served as we sat at a table in the garden overlooking field with zebra, springbok and wildebeest. Picnic also included generous amounts of cheese, bread, hummus and pickles, topped off with an ice cream. Go try!
