Description: Enjoy fabulous country cuisine inspired by the freshest seasonal produce from our organic herb and vegetable garden. Culinary and sommelier consultancy team Somm and chef Maritz Jacobs work closely together to create a journey through each season with menus changing regularly to fully include the freshest ingredients. Each master piece can be perfectly paired with elegant wines from the Longridge cellar. The relaxed and informal atmosphere is the perfect showcase for the incredible panoramic views sweeping over False Bay with glorious sunsets over Table Mountain and roaring fire place in winter.

Johan's was recommended by a colleague as a relaxed restaurant with good atmosphere and good value for money.

The description was an understatement! I was completely blown away. I cannot fault the staff or chef on service or cuisine.

Absolute awesome establishment-ranks up there with the Asara's & Del'Airres (but for half the price). Highly recommended!

Johan's at Longridge has an extraordinary touch of natural foods, freshly combined with a taste of sheer genius. This hidden treasure just off the R44 overlooks Table Mountain and the beautiful ocean of the Cape. One could share a crisp glass of superb Sauvignon with friends on a summer's day on their porch overlooking the mountain range. The feast starts off with freshly picked greens from their garden, followed by what I had that day, a mushroom risotto, creamy, smooth and delicate. We finished the meal with chocolate creamed cappuccinos and a final glass of Merlot. Their staff welcomes you as one of their own, but their professionalism as well as enthusiasm comes through in taste, sound and spirit. This is a place to try out if you're in the Stellenbosch or Somerset West area.

I would advise anybody and everybody to visit this restaurant. It has one of the best views in the winelands, fantastic food and excellent service.

We have been to Johan's at Longridge a couple of times and each time it was truly memorable. The restaurant has a very 'at home feel' and the staff make you feel most welcome. They use fresh ingredients from their own garden and everything else is locally produced and organic where possible.

The restaurant manager Chris goes out of his way to make sure you have a fantastic visit. He often takes guests on a walk through the garden pointing out some of the interesting herbs and vegetables they grow.

Each time I went we had the pleasure to choose from a new seasonal menu. The chef Marissa makes sure that everything that comes out of their kitchen is perfection. The food is really absolutely fantatastic!

They definitely give other top restaurants a good go, especially with their good prices.

Thanks again to the team at Johan's...I will see you soon!

We were welcomed by very friendly staff members and a glass off bubbly. The restaurant is beatufilly decorated and layed out with a wonderfull view towards Table Mountain. The food was superb. The chef really knows what she's doing. We tasted for the first time the dutch bitterballe and had a lovely three course meal with superb wines form the Longridge wine estate. We met the charming chef and she explained to us some of the food, and how they use all their herbs and vegetables form their organic garden outside the restaurant. It was truly a wonderfull meal and experience and we're going there again!
