I have dinned here regularly and love venue, menu and staff. The only criticism is that the inside seating gets little to sunny at various times of the year, but nothing that sunglasses cannot fix. Highly recommend their pork belly.

Heard so much of this restaurant and expected good food but left dissapointed. Although the scenery is stunning the place is completely overrated. The starter was tasteless, the main boring and without flavour and the dessert average - wine is very expensive for average quality. Service was so-so - we had 3 of 4 different faces serving us - just did not felt looked after.
The main thing is that you expect greta food when paying top dollar - this is not the case here - maybe this is OK for a tourist paying in Euro but we will certainly not return or reccomend to South Africans..

We made a mistake of going to this restaurant at night, so our experience focused on the food rather than both food and ambience. However, from the many lights we could see in the distance, as well as the fact that the estate is on quite a hill, I can only imagine how spectacular the view is during the day.

We had the tasting menu (5 or 6 courses - I can't quite remember). The portions were small, but big enough for us to start battling towards the end.

The restaurant has been strongly recommended to us by quite a number of people and our understanding was that this restaurant has a great reputation, which all formed quite high expectations of the food. I was little taken aback by the fact that there really seemed to be nothing fancy about the choice of dishes (usually one expects to see strange froths, reductions and use of terminology one is too embarrassed to admit one doesn't know). There was nothing like that at Overture - the food almost had a simple, country style to it. The presentation was nice, but nothing too extravagant. We enjoyed our way through a couple of courses, without being too wowed by any extravagance. But then I figured out why this restaurant is so well regarded - every single flavor worked! And it worked so well - every single combination of dishes just fused the flavours together perfectly. In fact, that is the beauty of this restaurant - there is no need for strange terminology, weird froths and so on. Many restaurants tend to wow us with a couple of dishes, but disappoint with others. At Overture, every single dish was a wonderful combination of flavours that worked together perfectly well.

This place is indeed a gem for people who appreciate how tricky it is to get the flavours so right that one polishes off a plate without realizing it. Well done for taking the difficult route and delivering wonderfully!!!

We were lucky enough to experience this restaurant during our recent trip to SA. What can I say apart from Fantastic everything, views, food, service, wines. This place really is a complete package and made our trip, I really recommend the Tasting Menu and ask the waiter to match some wines. If I had one criticism would be we asked the restaurant to arrange a taxi and they used either a staff member or acquaintance who charged us 3 times what we paid to get there. This is our fault not though.

Service not the best, dirty cutlery, no soup spoons and had to pour own wine. Food average, main course tough and cold. Over rated and would not recommend
