The staff were very friendly and although there was a problem regarding the booking and payment the went out of their way to rectify the mistake and appologise more than once for the incovenience. The rooms were great and in exelent condition-it was a rememerable experience and we do not have any negative remarks

Shame our weather was so bad and we couldn't enjoy any of the devonvales real advantages. But looks like a lovely golf course, nice food in the evening, lovely wine selection and nice rooms.
Some interesting bird life around, and I'd imagine the pool is super in the summer and the balcony of the restaurant.
Pointless in the winter.

My wife & I stayed @ this hotel over the long weekend of 14-17 June 2013.As we flew in on a late flight to CT we Only arrived @ the Hotel 21h00,Notwithstanding all the necessary requisite arrangements had been organized with the security & our check in was done excellently, which we found very pleasing & very helpful. Our room was excellent & so were the breakfasts with a very congenial & relaxing dining area! The location is very secure with security very good. The location of the hotel is excellent in that it is pretty easy to travel to CT; Somerset West;Paarl or any of the surrounds without the hustle & bustle of traffic jams.Similarly, it is Only approx 20mins to the airport from the hotel. We have No complaints but praise & most certainly are comfortable in recommending this hotel. Hoping the price is right we are comfortable returning to this hotel.Regards

Room Tip: rooms upstairs have less bathroom noise.

We enjoyed a stay for one night in this beautiful hotel on the Golf and Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. It's easy to find the hotel although it's a little bit out of Stellenbosch. That was not a problem because the views were spectacular.
We had a warm welcome by the employee of the reception. She told us a lot about the surrounding and the hotel. The room was very nice and clean.
During arrival we saw that a wedding was upcoming and that they had their party in the evening/ night. After a long trip we enjoyed sleeping in time, but in the middle of the night there was lots of noice on the corridor in front of our room. A few guests of the wedding were drunk and were shouting and screaming and running in the corridor. It took al long time (at least an hour) before it stopped. We couldn't imagine that nobody from the hotel came to stop these people. When we asked the next morning we get lots of apologies. It was a difficult situation for them. The people from the hotel were really sorry and we get a nice bottle of wine. For us it was all ok now. It's a focus for the hotel to accomodate guests from a wedding in another part of the hotel and for sure not on the same corridor as non-wedding guests.
We went for breakfast and enjoyed it very much. It was nice and extensive. The waiters were very helpfull. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel although there were some drunk people in the night. The way how the hotel solved it was very professional.

we stayed here for a night. its quite pretty but also quite far from the town. about 15 mins by car. the restaurant is not very good, service wise and the menu is quite limited. the breakfast omlette took about 1/2 hour and we only got it when we told the host. stellenbosch has alot of nice restaurants that are quite far from here.
on the upside, the rooms are quite comfortable and the golfcourse is nice with a pond and ducks etc. i supppose its better if you are plannign on staying a few nights and plannign to drive up and down to the city for better food options.
