It was a cold rainy day in Stellenbosch (and there are many of those!!)
Cuvee was the ideal place for Sunday lunch - the fire and décor makes this such a nice and cosy place...
The food was divine!! Each meal was presented beautifully and had a special touch. Amongst the group we had squid, quail, and salmon for starters. Each dish a masterpiece - and the wooded Chenin and Chardonnay even had the serious wine connoisseurs around the table in awe. The best Chardonnay I have ever tasted (although I am not an expert)!!
The oxtail (main course) was not presented in customary SA style but was, almost surprisingly, delicious and tasteful! The fish did not disappoint either and the Springbok was presented so nicely and scored a 10/10 for presentation too.
The waitress took good care of us and everybody around the table had a great time!
We are regular visitors to this restaurant - where the menu changes regularly and remains interesting - always with good wine parings.
Today's visit just reconfirmed why we go back so often - close to home and absolutely worth the visit - every time!! (Inside in winter and outside in summer)
