“Beautiful setting under the trees”

Half the magic is in the setting. Throw in the stunning art work and sculptures and delicious food art, then it makes for an unforgettable day. Dishes are refreshingly simple but tasty.

“Nice place to have dinner”

Good food, nice atmosphere and kind service. Try the tasting menu (before 8.30pm). Otherwise, Sirloin Beef is really great, as well as the Ocean Fish !

“Doctrinaire Delaire”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

On a glorious evening in what must be one of the most stunning settings in the world, we were told that it was not possible for us to enjoy our meal outside on the terrace. When we inquired why this wasn't possible, the servers and maitre de hotel told us that the instructions came from "on high" and that they were not allowed to serve us on the terrace. Apparently the chef insisted that diners eat inside in the very dramatic dining room. We were then seated inside at a small round table, with three of the party of five sitting on a very uncomfortable banquette. The server had to keep on stretching over me to serve the person to my left. We had been seated very comfortably at a much more spacious set of tables on the terrace.

Another annoyance was the insistence that the entire party had to conform to either the tasting menu or the a la carte menu, no exceptions allowed! The friends who made the booking, visitors from the UK, were treated rudely and forced to return on Sunday morning when they tried to make a booking on Saturday for the following Monday!

The food was good, but not so good as to eclipse the treatment that we received. It seems that the chef and management have been overly impressed by the good reviews and have forgotten that paying customers should be made to feel like valued guests, rather than privileged school children who have been allowed into the hallowed halls of their establishment. I definitely will not be returning.
