We took a "chance" on this place, having never heard of it, even though we live in Cape Town. What a surprise, the room was beautiful-we were upgraded at no cost simply because we were the only guests. Everything has been thought out so carefully. The views are truly magnificent, the friendly service was impeccable, and the breakfast was excellent. Petru and her team were wonderful.
It is the perfect place to stay if you're contemplating having dinner at the adjacent Delaire Graf-you simply walk through a gate between the properties, or Tokara which is just around the corner.

We stayed @ Clouds Estate between 22nd and 25th May, 2011. It was beginning to rain in that week and we had spently of showers during the day. We were with our 4 year old and he loved this place a lot. The hosts are probably the best hosts we had in our tour of South Africa. They esured the we had complete Stellenbosch experience full of wine tasting, cheese testing, museusms and great food. The Clouds Estate has excellent location and the cottages are very comfortable and very well attended. If you are staying here, we recommend that you rent a car because it makes your life so much easier. We would certainly recommend this place if you are planning a laid back family or a romantic holidat in Stellenbosch.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent

An absolutely fantastic place to stay at the end of myself and Romas tour around the Western Cape. The accommodation and setting was outstanding and the service frankly marvellous! We would highly recommend Clouds to anyone. First class and the wine is wonderful too!

Loved this place. We stayed for a long weekend and didn't want to leave. Our room was upgraded as there was a conference taking place, so this set the tone for our stay. We stayed in suite 7 which has stunning views over the winelands. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. There is also under floor heating which is great in the winter. It was small touches like the candles in the bedroom and bathroom and a little decanter of port, which added to the overall feel of the place. The owner is very relaxed and we weren't rushed to leave by the check out time, or indeed be held to a set time for breakfast. The staff are all incredibly friendly and the service is 100%. Breakfasts are big and nice! In the winter there is a very inviting log fire in the lounge. You can borrow DVDs and books also.

The resident dog and cat are adorable.

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend (despite it raining for most of it!).

It's less than a 10 minute drive into Stellenbosch town and on the doorstep of lots of wineries.

We will definitely be going back! Great value for money.

Room Tip: Suite 7 was stunning
