My husband and I visited Stellenbosch at the beginning of December and stayed again at Caledon Villa, our 12th time. It is our no.1 B&B in Stellenbosch for a number of reasons: very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in most of them over the years, including the Farao Suite, and they are all tastefully furnished. The breakfasts are delicious. The property itself and the gardens are kept in tip top condition. Although we did not make use of the excellent swimming pool this time, we did enjoy relaxing on the sun loungers.
The location is another plus, as restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance, but as it is in a side street, it is quiet and peaceful.
Last but certainly not least is Johan's knowledge of the area. He is always ready with suggestions as to where to go, what to visit and some of them have become regulars for us that we would have never found without Johan's input. For us Caledon Villa really ticks all the boxes and we never even consider staying anywhere else when we are in the area and we can highly recommend it.
