I was there with my daughter. We enjoyed the place very much, it is a farm, very quiet surrounded by the mountain with a nice view and out of town. No sophistication but everything comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was great. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's not far from town so you can come back late at night without problem.
We enjoyed it very much. Very comfortable place.

Room Tip: the best rooms are in front.

Magnificent setting - especially my room which faced the mountains. Bedside lighting was inadequate for reading in bed and consideration should be given to installing TV and air conditioning. Very little to do if you are spending the evening in your room and cannot read or watch TV. Breakfasts were superb and staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Parking for my room was overcrowded and could have been better regulated - there was plenty of space - just badly used.

One of the best accomodatoins we stayed in SA. Very nicely located in the nature and fantastic staff - not only the owner was nice but also all the other staff. They even offered us a township tour afterwards! Make sure that you go there as well!

Auberge Rozendal is such a beautiful place, so calm and peaceful.
A great start to our holiday in South Africa.
The food is amazing and the staff excellent and extremely friendly.
If you're looking for some peace and quiet in a great setting, this is the perfect place.
And the vinegar is amazing too.

We stayed at this place for 2 weeks and used it as a base to explore Stellenbosch and it's surroundings.
Our room was very nice and we had a fantastic view over the surrounding mountains (including a few horses that demanded carrots from time to time). It is true what some of the reviewers said that it is a very quiet place and not much to do there except relax and stay in the pool. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back anytime. We never used the restaurant as there are way too many fantastic places around that we wanted to try out. But do make sure you have a car otherwise you are lost in Stellenbosch.
Also every single member of the staff was very helpful whenever we needed something. Btw, make sure to ask to get a tour around their vinegar making facilities and try them. They are fabulous.

Our family stayed at Auberge Rozendal for 5 nights and we could not have asked for a better place! From the minute we arrived we felt at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved running around on the farm and spending time with the animals while mom and dad enjoyed a glass of wine by the pool. We had dinner at the restaurant for 3 of the nights during our stay and each night the food was mouth-wateringly delicious! The rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Each room has it's own terrace with a breathtaking view of the mountains where one can relax at the end of a busy day. We had a wonderful time and our kids have already asked if we can go this December. An absolute must!!

We ended up here due to a reservations snafu from another local B&B, but we're so glad we had a chance to stay here! Upon arrival we were greeted by Jo, who was one of the sweetest people we met on our 21 day trip. Our room was large with high ceilings and a sweeping view of the valley...all the way to Table Mountain in Cape Town. There was no a/c, however the breezes made things comfortable. We had to leave early the next morning for the airport, so Jo helped us get our boarding passes printed and ensured we had breakfast ready for us! Great stay...ignore the poor review a couple posts down. This is a great place!

Room Tip: Room 11 is on the valley side...for a great view, choose this one!
