Well this is a 20 min drive from Knysna but totally worth it. Very well equipped chalets with a fantastic shaded deck and amazing view. Wonderfult to sit and watch the wildlife with a secluded and relaxing atmosphere. As Knysna is fantastic for local produce it is a real advantage to self-cater. My 5 year old thought it was the best tree house he had ever stayed in. Meagan was so welcoming and helpful and a mine of information about the area. We were out and about alot but Homtini would be the perfect place to kick back and relax. We have lots left to see so hope to return next time we are in SA.

Room Tip: We were in Wild Olive self-catering cabin. Beautiful views and all the equipment we needed. Canopy i...

Wow what can I say! Perfect, we spend a few days at Homtini during our honeymoon and my husband can’t stop talking about it. It is beautiful and even more perfect when it rains. Just being there you feel relaxed. Truly miss being there.

We stayed in one of the two "couples" safari tents. These feel very secluded with their own paths to them and have the most amazing views looking out over the mountains and forest. It is a view that you will never want to leave, I didn't want to go!
The hospitality and welcome at the farm is brilliant and Margreta gave us some great tips on things to do, where to eat and the walks we could do.
The tents are very comfortable with every thing you need, great shower and great braai facilities on the deck. Even though we stayed there when it was just coming out of winter (Early Sept) we still managed to have a good old braai and the beds have electric blankets on them for those colder months so we were always toasty and warm.
I can't recommend it highly enough if you like outdoor living, tranquility, beautiful surroundings and nature.

My husband and I stayed here in November 2009 and we both could not stop raving about the location and overall experience. Homtini is a little way out of Knysna but well worth the trip as you are able to get away from the business of Knysna itself yet is close enough to drive to. When you arrive at Homtini guest farm you are instantly blown away by the view. Each tented lodge faces over a beautiful valley with no other sign of civilisation around. Megan and Owen are extremely welcoming and can give you tips on things to see and do around the area. Once settled in you get a bottle of fresh cows milk every day as well as access to pick fresh vegies out of the farm garden. We enjoyed a nice healthy braai with fresh spinach and tomatoes when we stayed there.
There is a beautiful bush track which you can follow on the farm. This takes you through the most amazing bushland where you will be entertained by some amazing bird life.
The tented lodge is very comfortable with all the facitlities you could need including a shower, toilet, cooking facilities and really comfortable bed.
We can't wait to stay there again next time we go to South Africa and will definitely refer this place to anyone.
There is also a tented lodge for families so if there is more than 2 of you kids also have a place to stay. There is a pool with a playground for the kids to enjoy.

We would like to thank the staff at Homtini guest farm for a wonderful stay in their tented camp. There is a pool, Jacuzzi and 3 different walking trails which kept the teenager busy. This is a neat and well maintained farm, with a lovely view of the Knysna forest. We recommend the freshly baked croissant breakfast. We will be back.

One of the most beautiful places we've stayed in, traveling around South Africa!
We've stayed in a tented lodge, very comfortable, beautiful views, nice walks in neighbourhood, every evening had a perfect braai @ the pool. Meagan and Owen are very friendly.
