“Promising - let's hope they keep it”
Reviewed October 26, 2011

Had lunch at Red Allen's today with friends. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the room is comfortable. The plate wasn't quite as pleasing. What was advertised as a prime rib sandwich arrived at the table as a poorly made Philly cheese steak... thin sliced, overcooked, probably frozen meat, topped with greasy, seedy peppers, onions and generic white cheese. Our waitress told us that a new menu has been developed and that the waitstaff were trying the dishes that afternoon. If the execution of the new dishes improves, this room will be a great addition to the West Valley community. I'll take simple, well-prepared dishes any day over amateur attempts at uppity menu descriptions. The rest of the meal was passable but not outstanding. We're hoping the promise of an improved menu will be fulfilled, as we enjoy the ambience of the Wigwam Resort and want a good reason to keep going back.
