“Another fantastic stay at Arizona's best kept secret - this resort is a true treasure!”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Spent 3 nights @ the Wigwam and had a great experience. My family and i have been coming here for over 30 years and it keeps getting better. Lots to do at the resort for all ages. And, the live music on Fri/Sat evenings was great. Check out jazz guitarist Jay Soto who performs in Litchfields (hotel lounge) on Friday nights. Great vibe!

We stayed here three nights during a week-long trip to Arizona for spring break. The resort was beautiful, with extensively landscaped grounds and walking paths, and a great large pool with water slide and poolside service. It was nice just walking around the resort in the sunshine away from the long and cold Midwest winter, and we spent an entire day just lounging and swimming in the pool. Our Wigwam room was not one of the newly renovated ones, and it did show its age, but it was attractively decorated and was large, clean and comfortable. It was also really quiet in the evening. My kids loved swimming and laying out at the pool, walking around the resort in the evening and playing bocce ball.

We found the location perfect for our trip to the Phoenix area. Although it was about a 25 minute drive to the attractions downtown, we were close to Surprise, where we took in a Spring training game. The resort is located in the suburbs, and in the evening it was easy to find a restaurant. It really was a great place for a three day stay in Phoenix, if your focus is relaxation, sun, and perhaps a baseball game!

We were there for my nephews wedding w/e . This place is sprawling and incredible.
Facilities offered are numerous. Golf, waterslides, pool, bocce, walking, spa, great restturants, lounges and entertainment nightly. Sit around the fire pits and enjoy relax or whatever.

Lots of area things to do within an hour's drive or less.

Room Tip: Golf course view rooms were quite pleasant. All the rooms we saw were similar only difference b...

It was our first time staying here. We had such an amazing time we can't wait to go back again. The large pool was renovated and beautiful . The property is picturesque. In the evening we had dinner on the patio and there was live music.

Room Tip: Our room was not an updated room, but still met our needs.

I was at the Wigwam last week for an industry conference. Great set up for small-ish events. Great restaurant & bar - and exceptional service from the staff. VERY comfortable beds. I was in a suite and it included a king bed and comfortable soft/chair sitting area. Others in my group enjoyed the golf courses and pools. The rooms are a little dated, but being a historical hotel, it adds to the charm. Will certainly consider in the future if I return to the Phoenix area.

Stayed here 2002. Property upgraded and remodeled since but still a wonderful historic beautiful property. Very nice staff and pool area. The amazing flowers and green grass is impressive. Bar is an inside/outside arrangement that allows for lots of room for the weekly music they have in the courtyard.

Room Tip: Something facing the golf course

It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us. Your praise for our staff, our pool, and our resort grounds is greatly appreciated, thank you. The Wigwam is situated on 400 lushly landscaped acres and is rich in history. Since opening our doors in 1929 we have continued to grow but have retained our authentic southwest charm. Thank you again for sharing such a nice review. We hope to welcome you back soon.

I went to the Wigwam for a small (400 person) industry event. It was a great venue - nice location, good food, great places to socially interact with one another. The rooms were nice, though dated. But the staff was absolutely excellent - courteous, friendly, and helpful. Probably the best staff I've had the pleasure of interacting with in recent hotel/resort stays.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms had their own balconies.
