“Beautiful Resort”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Although we live only a few miles from the Wigwam Resort, it feels like a whole different world when you are staying there. This historic resort truly is a gem in Arizona. The main buildings and grounds are beautiful, but the rooms, although spacious and well appointed, are older and show it. My husband and I went to the resort for a Valentine's get-away and enjoyed our time there very much. I wish we would have taken advantage of a few more of the resort's amenities covered by the resort fee that is in addition to the room rate. The service we received at check-in and check-out was outstanding; the young women at the front desk were knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Stay at The Wigwam if you want to be pampered.

Booked last moment for a one night stay. Last visit was in 1996. From reservation to checkout, experience was top notch. Touched on several F&B outlets, very diverse selection, plenty of choices for every taste and price point.Staff was super friendly with the exception of some personal chit-chatting that Guest don't need to hear. My room was same as 1996. Spacious, but out dated and musty. I love the property as a whole, as it represents a true resort feel. When ever in the Phoenix area, our Lodging choice will be the Wigwam!

Room Tip: Rooms around the Oasis pool are our favorite.Easy access to most resort activity's and somewhat...

Booked through travelocity and got a great rate. Room (two queens) was super spacious and very clean. Some of the decor is older but that adds to the charm. Super spacious bathroom. The "resort fee" bugged me a little but that's the industry, I've gotten used to it. There was a drunken lady passed out on the little lawn in front of our door and when we called guest serivces and they took care of it right away. All staff was friendly, courteous and super helpful. We will definitely be back !

The Hotel Main lobby, grounds and restaurants are beautiful. Landscaping is beautiful. Not a resort in the usual sense, in the middle of a city with a government base nearby. ALL rooms have an outside access- not sure about any security. Hotel rooms are smelly and old. Rooms should be updated and clean! Disappointed. Expensive.

Room Tip: Rooms in back of lobby have been renovated

We care deeply about every guest’s feedback and appreciate your comments regarding your recent stay. While we are certainly glad to know you enjoyed the lobby, grounds and restaurants at our resort, it is regrettable that your entire stay was not as positive. We will share your feedback with our management team so we can continue to improve. We hope that one day you will visit us again and we can provide an experience that exceeds your expectations.

I will be going to the WigWam again in August...I know that it will be a hot time of the year (temp. wise) but bein gat the Wig Wam...well they make everything cool and comfortable. Can't wait!
I always visit in August, that is when the ASDHA Scientific Conf. is. Now if you want to be papmpered and get some wonderful CE's (RDH's and Dentists) This is the place to go!
Wonderful meeting rooms, FANTASTIC food and great entertainment! The speakers are well educated and know their material. Great place to get 12 CE's, 2 cont. breakfasts and two GREAT lunches. This is going to be a good one this year---as always!

Room Tip: far enough away from the pool, but not to far--ground floors are really good-Casitas are wonderful!

I was booked through my company for a corporate meeting. Upon arrival we checked in and were taken by staff with our bags to our assigned rooms. The grounds are meticulously maintained and quite beautiful. The night time lighting and sunrise and sunset ambiance is second to none. I would stay again if I am ever in the area.

Wow, talk about a let down. The hotel grounds and main buildings are beautiful! The rooms for the price NEED A LOT OF HELP. To the people who love this place, I say yes if you show up there with a car full of kids and you are stuffing everyone into a room, bungalow or suite and you don't care that the rooms were possibly re decorated 10 - 15 years ago because you can't wait to get in the pool or out to play golf, then GO FOR IT. However, if you feel that for between $200.00 and $300.00 dollars a night for a bungalow room on a fairway, you should be able to get a room that is nicely decorated, smells fresh, doesn't have mold, mildew and deteriorated bathroom walls, has some colorful wall hangings, maybe some up to date bathroom fixtures, then you better book a room somewhere else!
I read a lot of reviews about this place and can't believe how many people rave about it. I really must be nuts or blind! The front desk person was nonchalant and dull upon check in, which was on Valentine's Day evening, the Wig Wam charges you a $20.00 resort fee that really doesn't cover much of anything that another property wouldn't give you for free. Oh, I forgot, it does cover a FREE BOTTLE OF DRINKING WATER AT CHECK OUT however if you open one of the two bottles in your room, THAT IS A $5.00 FEE PER BOTTLE. I could go on about how let down we were but I'll just bite the bullet, eat the hefty room charge and added resort fee and get the Wig Wam back the old fashioned way, by telling my friends NOT to spend their money there and for us, not returning again.

Words can’t express how disappointed we are that we could not meet your expectations in terms of your accommodations. We would like to clarify that the resort fee you mentioned includes a variety of amenities and services such as guest room internet, fitness center access, local and 800 calls, bottled water upon departure, in room Starbucks coffee, overnight self parking, daily newspaper upon request and unlimited golf with the purchase of a paid round at rack rate. Your feedback is welcomed and we appreciate the time you have taken to share it here with us. We hope that one day you will visit us again and we can provide an experience that exceeds your expectations.
