The Wigwam resort is one of the best places I've stayed. During the summer heat in Phoenix, AZ the Wigwam is a great place for a "staycation". My family will rent a night or weekend stay during the summer months. It is family friendly, they have something for all of our family members from ages 7 to 43 years old! We have been going to the Wigwam for years & will continue to go every summer to beat the AZ summer heat!

Room Tip: We like to stay in the Casita's! they have a porch with a big grassy area. We can sit on the por...

Highly recommend Wigwam resort. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a beautiful room near the pool. Our room was very large and included a kingsize bed, a couch, chair, desk, and very large bathroom, and coffee nook and a patio with chairs and table. The main building has a many great rooms to sit in and enjoy, plus a great bar indoor outddoor area and a very nice restaurant. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed quesadillas at the bar and they were out of this world. We had breakfast at the restaurant at the golf course, and it was also great. We can't wait to go back one day soon. The hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful.

We attended a family reunion in August, and found the rates to be extremely reasonable. The room was comfortable and spacious, if a bit dark, with a very large double-sink bathroom and nice linens. We were encouraged to upgrade to a suite for another $50, but it wasn't really worth it. The suite comes with a kitchenette equipped with a truly vintage refrigerator evoking the 1950s. The suite's layout would only be useful if we were hosting a party and needed a lot of gathering space. That was indeed the case with my cousins and it worked out well for that purpose. We spent some enjoyable time at the pool and dined at the main restaurant in the hotel where the food was outstanding. The bar had live music. We don't play golf but we also spent time checking out the course and ate breakfast in the clubhouse restaurant. There's nothing really dazzling here, but it's a perfectly nice place for a weekend staycation in the Valley.

Room Tip: Don't opt for a suite unless you're hosting a party.

A family reunion is such a wonderful event and we are delighted that you chose The Wigwam for this momentous occasion. It was great to hear that you enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Litchfield's (our main restaurant) and had some fun at the pool. Thank you for your review and staying at The Wigwam. We hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon.

I took two trips to the Phoenix area this summer. The first time, I stayed here because I got a great deal through a travel web-site. The second time, I chose it because of the way I was treated the first time (and it STILL was a bargain!)

This already beautiful resort is in the process of being updated and expanded. The accommodations are lovely, but I can't say enough good things about the service. I was treated like a special guest by everyone; the personnel at the front desk, the housekeeping people, the groundskeepers, the waitstaff in the bar, the concierge....They not only provided for my needs, in some cases, they anticipated them.

The resort itself is beautiful (although the layout can be a bit confusing - I couldn't find my car the first couple of days without a little help from the groundspeople), and it's proximity to the Phoenix area is perfect for a business or pleasure visit.

When checking out, I was asked the usual question - "how was everything?". My typical response is, "fine, thank you". The first time I stayed here, it was "wonderful, excellent". The second time, it was "no reason to stay anywhere else".

Room Tip: From my experience, they should all be good rooms.

I have been going to a conference here regularly and on first pass, the details of the guest rooms can seem a bit long in the tooth...tile etc. But the linens are soft and comfortable and the property is a total gem...the restaurants are very good, with a lovely serving staff. The historic photos throughout the common areas are just fascinating. All in all, this is a comfortable, special place. I look forward to trying the spa next time!

I stayed here as part of a conference for work and was pleasantly surprised. My favorite aspect was the walks around the beautiful property: the golf course, the roses, there was so much to enjoy! The meeting facilities were nice and the staff was very attentive. My favorite was the dinner on the golf course next to the big wigwam. We learned the nights are still very chilly but the staff had heaters out around the tables to help. The rooms weren't as nice as I expected but I liked the solo building and privacy. Working out on the patio was very nice during the sunny mornings. The freshly picked oranges in the lobby were also an amazing treat!

It makes up happy to hear that even though you were at The Wigwam for a business conference, you were able to appreciate the beauty of our lushly landscaped resort and enjoy a great dinner on the golf course. We hope that you will return again for business or pleasure and enjoy more freshly picked oranges!

My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend. We had a wonderful time. The property is very beautiful, very well up-kept. Was very quiet, even over a holiday weekend with lots of people there. The bed was so comfy, didn't care for the feather pillows, though. Room was very clean and loved that they had Starbucks coffee in the room. Everyone was very friendly, too. Would definitely stay here again and again, and would recommend it to anyone.
