We recently spend the weekend at the newly remodeled Wigwam. First comment would be the more than helpful staff, but there an art to not being overbearing and this staff was very cool!
The second comment was how the grounds are more like a park than a hotel/resort. Our room opened to a beautiful open grass green belt. If your there on a Sunday checkout the local farmers market right on property next to the main driveway.
The rooms still have a hint of the classic history of this local resort and the main areas exhibit the story like the Hotel Del in San Diego. We did try the food and the Wigwam did a step-up spin on everything we sampled from lunch to a snack. The presentation, preparation and quality were above the bar set by most resorts in Phoenix or Tucson.
My family and I do a resort every other weekend in the summer, from Phoenix to Tucson and this resort will receive more than one visit from us this year. My wife's comment was a we drove away was ver"y relaxing and doesn't feel or look like your in Phoenix, maybe New Mexico".More
