We were 2 couples and decided to try the Lily Pad at Anura for lunch. The food was good but on the expensive side. The service was friendly and good. What shocked me was the price of the wine. Some were at double cellar door price which for a wine farm is not acceptable.

We are having our wedding at Anura next year April. My fiance and I had a tasting menu and all the food was amazing. Everything was fresh and prepared with attention to detail. The food was rich in flavor and the cheesecake with caramel ice-cream was one of the best dessert I have had this year.

Not the most kid-friendly restaurant, but very tasty. We loved our outdoor table next to the pond. The menu was a bit limited - the mains were all meat dishes with one fish item and no vegetarian options.

Shocked to be charged R180 for a wine that was R95 at cellar door. Many wine estates charge cellar door price or a price very close to cellar door in their restaurants; this is a rip off. Also noticed “no BYO” on their website. I suppose this is to stop you bring wine from cellar door as they could hardly justify a charge of R85 “corkage” which is what we were effectively charged.

Food was very average and also quite expensive for the location.

Will not be returning.

We have wanted to go to Lily Pad for a while now and suggested going there for Sunday lunch with my parents. This is a lovely venue with a great atmosphere and fantastic potential. The service wasn't bad and the food was honestly really good. BUT after letting us take a look at the hand written blackboard menu for some time, the waitress informed us at about 1:30pm that there was no Pork Belly (which most of us were planning to order) and that there was only one portion of the Tagliata and 3 portions of the linefish left. Already not so impressed, we placed our order for starters and mains only to have the manager come to inform us a while later that there was only 1 portion of squid starters left (ordered by 3 of us) and that the linefish was in fact also sold out, which 2 of us ordered - leaving a choice of only Beef fillet or wharthog kebabs for mains... Honestly, this is not acceptable and an indication of seriously poor planning!
