I stayed at Thabile recently in the December Holiday Season. What a wonderful establishment. This was not my first time there. Staff and service is excellent. Accommodation and the locations really gives one the feeling of being away from the city and just relaxed. Set with beautiful Gardens, Pools and Jacuzzi. The meals and atmosphere is excellent. As before, this was again one of my highlights of my holiday. Great for families, newly weds, couples, singles, old, young - really a place for anyone and everyone. Really a must see if you pass Oudtshoorn. Will definitely be back. Thank you Len for being a great Host - highly recommended

Wonderful views, great hospitality - it was like being welcomed home by old friends. Food was sumptuous. Garfield (the super fat orange tabby) and the dogs are very well behaved and cute. Would love to go back soon. Value for money is truly excellent and there are little touches of personal service that I would usually only expect from truly upmarket establishments. (I woke to find that my very dusty car that had travelled several hundred kilometers through the Karoo had been cleaned). It's a super place to base yourself if you are planning to explore Oudshoorn, Prince Albert, the Cango Caves and the beautiful mountain passes in the area. Len the proprietor has a great knowledge of the sights and attractions around his Lodge and he is also a lot of fun to have at your table during dinner. All in all a truly great experience!!!

I live in Durban, Kwazulu Natal and did a roadtrip to the Cape in December 2012. After some time spent with friends in Knysna, I stopped over for a few nights at Thabile Lodge in Oudtshoorn. What a magical place! Len is the ultimate host, always ready with a joke and a smile not to mention a nice cold refreshment on a hot Karoo day. The hospitality was amazing, the food fantastic thanks to Hennie the talented chef, and I fell in love with his little zoo of very special animals. The atmosphere is homely and peaceful, the accomodation spacious and spotless. 2 days turned into 10.....and I can highly recommend this "Place of Happiness"

Hi there,
We just had the most wonderful overnight stop at Thabile lodge and ended up staying two days. This is a rare Gem in the karoo with ice cold beer, swimming pool, crisp cool bed linen and seperate free standing rooms scattered between the thorn trees and open green grass lawns. Most beautiful sunset at the end of a long day, and heavens full of stars at night just made this a place where your soul and mind just soaks up new energy.

Room Tip: Room no 6 is right infront and has the full sunset reflecting against the red rock mountains

We spent only one night, but I can write a book about Thabile Lodge.
We arrived on an extremely hot day, and were welcomed by Len with a friendly smile and an ice cold drink.
Our room was clean and spacious, and we had everything we needed - air-conditioning, tea/coffee, bottled water, etc. We had a swim in the pool - and yes, clean towels were provided.
Dinner was heavenly! Bobotie, ostrich carpaccio, rump steak, vegetables, crispy potatoes, and lemon meringue... incredible! Next morning's breakfast was also delicious.
I really do not have a single negative aspect of Thabile Lodge.
EVERYTHING was clean - from the room, to the bar, to the restrooms, to the pool, etc.
Friendly staff.
All appliances (TV, aircon, etc) were in perfect working order.
Enough of everything - from drinks to towels to toilet paper.
Awesome meals.
Good pricing.
Len is really an exceptional host.
We will definitively return, and this time spend more time at Thabile Lodge.
