Absolutely LOVED this, I've been 3 times! The interaction with the animals (tiger cubs, cheetahs, snakes etc) and the friendliness of the staff really made it for me!
In the world we live in today, it's so refreshing to see a ranch that REALLY cares for their animals!

this review is coming pretty late but i want to share my lekker experience as a volunteer at the ranch.
i visited cango last november with intentions of staying only 4 weeks and then going on to do more travelling. i loved it so much i just couldnt go home (canada). i changed my flights and volunteered at cango wildlife ranch untill mid janurary.
while at the ranch i got to do things i never would have dreamed of. as a volunteer i was able to get up close with the animals! tourists can get pretty close too when they arrange an encounter.
the animals are all really well cared for and you can tell they are loved. i leanred alot about conservation and wildlife protection. it is now one of my passions because of the owners and people at the ranch.
i came for the animals and fell inlove with the staff. all really wonderful people and they make you feel so welkom.
i highly suggest you visit the ranch, but more so volunteer there !! honest, i could go on and on about the awesome things i did and learned while volunteering.
100% i will be going back !! hopefully sooner than later.

Great visit with the kids and great value for the money. Make sure you take the tour. Our tour guide, Kevin, was very knowledgable and personable. Our kids loved him and learned a lot. Take advantage of the animal encounters...they are great value for the money and they even include a photo. A must visit attraction when in South Africa.

It is not a safari, but it is definitely more than a zoo or just animals enclosure. The ranch has a unique and nice set up of animals with quite varieties of African origin as well out of Africa. Our tour guide, Ronnie was really informative and also entertaining with her joke and frolic. The encounter experience also something unique and fun ( but not for weak heart), been able to touch and play with tiger and cheetah really a new experience.
The cleanliness of the ranch also was commendable.

Whether you decide to visit for one day or to volunteer for a few weeks, I am sure the beautiful animals and the knowledgeable ranch staff will captivate you! I chose Cango Wildlife Ranch because its wide range of species as well as its conservation efforts and collaboration with other organizations.

I was volunteering from mid-May until end of August and enjoyed every second of it! You get to see behind the scenes and realize what it needs to run such a fascility. You get the chance to work hands-on but also to cuddle with many animals. You can bring in your own ideas and create all sort of enrichment for all species. I have learnt a great deal and will definately go back!

They have their own website if you are interested in volunteering: http://www.wildanimalvolunteers.com/

For day visitors: http://www.cango.co.za/

Enjoy,
Nadine
