Since we were not able to see leopards at the game reserves, we decided to visit here. It's a zoo but their collection of animals and for a fee they can have you touch the animals. The animals were beautiful and the guides explained well the facility's animal exchange program to other zoos.

Paid for the Cheetah encounter which was brilliant and helps conservation work. Food outlets get busy so timing when to eat in time for the next guided tour is essential.

This visit was a very pleasant surprise and a good experience for the children. The guide was good and even I learnt a few new facts which was great. For negligible cost, which supports conservation of endangered species, this is a must do when in the southern cape. From bats, to vultures, crocodiles, otters, hippos and various cats (lions, tigers and cheetah and leopard), birds, porcupines and a snake park...this place takes at lease 2.5 to 3 hours to enjoy and get value. The restaurant could be better...but hey, you don't go there for the food. Try and find out the feeding times of the crocs and cats if you can and try to see it.

It is like a small zoo with wild life in it. If you did not see the lions, leopards or cheetahs during safari this is the oppertunity to see them. The area where the animals are is below and you walk over them via a bridge.
If you want you can have a really close encounter with a cheetah or other animals, you need to pay extra but compared to other prices I have seen during our stay in Africa this is not expensive.
