Owner description: Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

We are used to them being awesome!!! BUT this year we battled with the huge roup we were in. We could not hear wat the guide said....due to too many people talking and doing their own thing. Best done in quite times!!

Not keen on enclosed spaces I was a little apprehensive but after 90 seconds with our guide "Eric" we were at ease and knew we were in safe hands. The spectacle of the caves is an unforgettable experience and should be embraced by anyone travelling in the area. It was a little out of our way but well worth the drive - the scenic drive. The did only the standard tour not wanting to crawl through to the other chambers but we recommended the tour to friends travelling that way who braved the entire experience and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The site is well managed, clean, and it seems that a passion to preserve such a valuable landmark is foremost . The lunch at the restaurant also was excellent - would recommend the ostrich.

You have a choice to either do the standard tour or the adventure tour. We did the adventure tour and it was a blast! Our guide was a lot of fun and knowledgable. It can be warm and humid but despite sliding and climbing over rocks and through narrow passages our clothes stayed clean. You should be in a bit of shape to do this particular tour, The formations were beautiful and very, very old. It was totally worth it.

Travelling with a bored teenager, this was definitely one of the highlights. My niece was engaged, interested, enthusiastic, and best of all, she learned so much! The guide was friendly, knowledgable, and witty. I highly recommend the Adventure Tour.
